So I just got my Aspire nautilus Mini two days ago and after going through a couple tanks I decided to take it apart and give it a rinse while changing flavors. So when I got to unscrewing the glass part the silicone o ring came off with it. No big deal. But when I put it back in I realized that I put it in with the side with the holes in it facing the glass (down) and I looked it up and read that this was the wrong way. I tried prying it up with a knife but I'm afraid I'll cut the ring this way.

Does anyone else have experience doing this and know what I could use to get it out? Will it be fine sitting this way and should I just leave it??

P.s. - I'm not sure if I posted this in the right forum but I couldn't find any "tank" forum.

Did you glue it in?

Anyway, I have one of those mini-mini screwdrivers for eyeglasses. I suspect patience and being delicate will suffice. Also, o-rings are available. I forget where I got mine, but I don't remember it as being a hard hunt.

Good luck

No I didn't glue it in. But it's behind all those threads and sits pretty snugly in the top cap of the nautilus.

I have the Nautilus mini and take out that ring once a week to clean. I use a toothpick to dig it out. The first time I did it I punctured the ring so now I clip off the tip so the pick isn't so sharp. Go from the inside of the ring to outside, that is what works for me. It might work fine the way it is, after poking a small hole in it it works fine with no leaking.

I actually did almost the same thing already lol. I used a pair of my wife's tweezers and worked it out while cutting a little slit or two in it but it seems to be working fine still. I just screwed the glass in real good. Anyway it took about 10 min of fussing with it to get it out so I don't think I'll be doing it again to clean it. Are a few droplets of water in your tank while vaping gonna hurt?

A few drops of water won't really hurt but could thin out your juice a lot depending on the size of drops. I've had a coffee juice that would get really thick 2/3s through the tank and I would add a few drops of water to thin it out. When I clean that part of the tank I use a paper towel and go with the threads so they help push the towel in and that gets the job done.
