You can tell if its a mini because the V3/5s have the ring cuts that are there to blend in abit where it telescopes so that separation does look out of place. The mini doesn't have these cuts. The pic in the op doesn't have them either so it's a mini.
Now between a V3 and V5 the only way to tell the difference is to go into the menu and check if it has a USB charging setting. You can't tell them apart by appearances anymore since the newer v3s topcaps are removable now to. They weren't removable on the original v3s.
I think your bottom section is upside down. Not that it really matters.
Yeah, that pic was taken about a week after I got it, when I wasn't yet very familiar with it.
The only ring that's different between the telescoping and the mini is that one in the middle; the mini does have the ones around where the button is, and at the bottom. But when the telescoping is closed up, that middle ring doesn't actually look any different than the other rings, it's just an "extra".
