Ive noticed that theres alot of talk about subohm vaping so i bought a kit so i could try it out... But im kinda curious about how it can taste as good as ive heard people say... Because when i use to high v or w on my vamo it tastes burned after maybe 2 hits... So how can a 0,5 ohm coil at 3.5?v keep the good taste?
is it because its mainly on genesis style tanks or dripping attys?

and yeah i forgot to research thos before i ordered the kit :D (still cant wait to try it out tho)

Subohm coils ... or any coils ... the resistance doesn't actually mean anything by itself. You can arrive at the same resistance with completely different atomizer designs. With typical subohm atomizers, you are using much larger wire and wick than with typical high-resistance "regular" type atomizers. To really oversimplify, you are using a lot more power to spread out a lot more heat over a larger area, which vaporizes more juice at once. In the end at any one spot you are getting similar heat to a regular atomizer, so you aren't burning the juice, you are maintaining a good vaporization temperature. But the active area of atomization is way larger on a subohm rig, which is what makes the huge clouds.

Please educate yourself on the SAFE USE of sub-ohm coils, if you are going to go in that direction. There is a much smaller margin of error when you use these, as they require higher amperage from your batteries than regular resistance coils and could result in a catastrophic event if you don't know what you are doing. I am not an advocate of using sub ohms in an RBA if you are a beginner. Home-made coils can inadvertantly change in resistance, and if you do not check them on a daily basis big problems can arise.

Never use a home-made coil without first testing the resistance on a digital multimeter. And use only high quality, IMR high drain batteries. I also recommend using a Vape Safe Mod Fuse if you use a sub ohm coil in a mechanical mod, as they do not have the built-in protective circuitry that a regulated mod has.

I've written a safety guide for new RBA users that I strongly suggest you read, particularly about battery and mod safety issues.

I have bought panasonic cgr18650ch batteries because they are safe with 0,7ohms(i was told) and a vape safe 2cent to put in the mod. And i have a vamo to test my coils with... And at last im going to do a dual coil setup most likely with more than 1ohm resistance...

As far as i know im sticking to the safe vape...
But you sound like youre a man that knows his mechanic setups so please do tell me if you think i should do something diffrent :)

Vamo with resistance meter - check

Panasonic hybrid/IMR batteries - check

Vape Safe Mod Fuse - check

Projected use of 1 ohm coils - check
____

Sounds good on this end. :)

Typically my dual coils are always lower ohm than my single coil set ups.

Air flow is also important when building sub-ohm, with regards to vapor production and heat.

I bought a kts+... It seems to have some good airflow and im used to vape a kanger protank so im pretty sure that imma end up drilling a bigger vent hole in the cobra

im running .6ohm in my octopus rda. of course i have extra bored air holes. but i get more flavor from it then my novas. and huge clouds

Ive tried novas they arent that good if you ask me... The kanger is a whole other kind of better... Better flavor bigger clouds and not alot of burnt taste... But im really looking forward to trying out the mech with a cobra clone on it... I made 2 really good pure vg liquids... One is a mountain dew and it tastes awesome... Should be good with the mech :)

(I'm a Baditude fan; s/he knows his/her stuff... but,)

I don't think a Vamo will do the trick for you for measuring low res coils. Get a multimeter/ohmmeter if you are gonna play with low resistance.

(I could be wrong... I was wrong once back in the 80's. ;))

The vamo will actually read subohm coils. Won't fire them, but it will measure them!
