For the extra $100+, the DNA just wasn't worth it to me. The RX, I have had zero problems with it. Great battery life, but I don't usually go above 80W. But if you are set on the DNA version, try it. I know evolve has had a few issues with all of their boards, but they are generally pretty good at fixing their stuff, but might be an issue considering where you are as it would take a lot longer to send in for repairs.

I've never had an evolve board, but I know they are quite good with their customer service. You might end up with one that has no problems at all. But if I were you, I'd still get a second mod of some sorts as a backup. Nobody should ever rely on just one mod. Things happen and you sure don't want to be totally without.

Cheaper doesn't always equal better, just sayin'.
True, but I don't think anyone is saying the RX is better. Just saying that the RX is a good mod with what seems like good electronics, and at close to 1/3 the price, it's worth a look at. I'm all for buying the best, which I have done with my mechanical mods and rdas, but being new to regulated, I was happy to go with the RX and not spend so much money.

true, but paying extra for a 'premium' doesn't always equal better either - not dissin the DNA, but the market has evolved significantly past the point where the premium pricing of the DNA boards is as attractive as it used to be - lot of that is going to come down to preference, now (similar phenomenon with the Provari products - again, don't get me wrong, great products, but the market has evolved...)

that being said, I have an RX200 and thus far love it - keep in mind also, the folks at VaporFlask liked the chipset in the RX200 enough to put it in their new VF Stout mod...

I'm using an RX200 as well and it's amazing! Haven't had any problems with it so far. I'd rather go for a mod that is affordable and works well, and it's definitely good that you're able to upgrade the firmware too. The only downside is, as ergonomic as it is, it does feel slightly heavy in your hands since it uses three 18650 batteries. But other than that, no complains :)

I just ordered a RX200, for whatever that's worth. And yes, I definitely suggest a backup. You can buy 2 RX200s and 12 batteries for less than the DNA version. Just sayin'
I was going to post prettty much the same thing. Im currently facing the same debacle. I want to buy one and Im leaning to the DNA version, but at the same time I think the rx would be just fine. Or perhaps Ill just buy the DNA board and put it in a lipo box I have here... ah decisions decisions...

Go and check out the "Indulgence MT" thread in the RTA subforum. Sorry, I'm on my tab and it gets whimsical about linking things. Anyway, you'll find page after page of praise for the RX200-- that's why I bought one-- because It'll run the MT at 100+watts all day long, the TC is stable, etc. And it's cheaper than a DNA200, board only. If you want the DNA200-- don't blame you, I do too and will probably buy the board and mod it-- then buy one. If you want a 3 battery, 200 watt workhorse of a mod for very little money, you may find the RX200 fits your bill.
