So I've had the MVP 20 watt for a little over a month. Great device although the battery life isn't the best. I use my device with an aerotank and a vertical coil and run betwen 17.5-20 watts as of now...

Unfortunately 20 watts really isn't enough to run an rda and I'm looking to get something at least 50 watts. I've been looking at a few devices but really don't want to have to spend over $60 because I will still have to buy batteries. It seems most of the devices come with a USB port for built in charging... I'm assuming it works well for any battery?

Heres one of the devices have been looking at:

SMOKTech XPRO M50 50W Mini Box Mod

Its $58 on that site plus I'd still need to buy a battery. How long will a battery usually last?? If anyone has any other suggestions on a great reliae device in the $60 range and a reliable place to get it I'd appreciate it. Thank you for any help!

MVP will fire down to 0.8ohms. At 15 watts it's a great vape. It's a better way to start. I have 30, 50 and 100 watt boxes and usually vape them at 30 watts max. The reality is when you put more watts on a coil and wick it insta fries your juice, the vape is not very good and you are constantly dripping. some like the vape and don't mind dripping every 3 hits. My 100 and 50 watt boxes are great cause they last longer...hold a longer charge and the chip provides consistency of power. I'm sure that box you posted is great. Just know that putting 40 or 45 or 70 watts on a coil will get old real quick.

Well I'm not trying to put 40 or 50 watts through my aerotank but its weak when using a dripper... Produces literally nothing... That's why I am looking for an upgrade but don't want to spend a lot...plus I will have to buy a battery for the device as well.

I see so many devices I don't know what to use. DNA chip this or that I don't even know anymore... I need a list of some good devices to choose from even if they are like $75-80 then so be it.. I can spend $100 for device and batteries.

And a good website or two to shop at... Myvaporstore and myfreedomsmokes both have a pretty limited selection and I have heard some negative things about fasttech.

Thanks

Right behind you...
A single 18650 running a low/sub-ohm load at 20-30w won't last long at all, so look for something with easy to swap batteries, or at the very least pass-through charging (just because it charges via USB doesn't mean you can vape while charging).

The Smok box you listed has a pain the .... battery door, doesn't do pass-through charging without an upgrade that requires shipping it back to China, and with a single 18650 pushing north of 25w, you'll be out of battery power in less than half the time you get out of your MVP 20w. Other than that, it's a decent mod (that can be had cheaper, btw).

If portability isn't a big deal, I'd recommend a dual 18650 mod, quite a few that aren't much wider than your MVP and about same height and thickness.

But whatever you do, don't cheap out on the batteries. Do the research, but long story short, get good ones, high discharge with at least 20a continuous output rating. Sony VTC4 or 5, Samsung 25R, LG HE2/HE4, and a few others. And it looks like that vendor you listed is charging a bit much for their batteries, though all the ones listed there are good ones.

OK so that answers my question on that. I was looking at the sigelei 50watt v2 which looks pretty good any thoughts on that? And what about these Hana mods you hear about? I'm just trying to make the right purchase. The other thing about the smoktech device is the crappy delay in firing...

Can you or someone make some recommendations for a mod for around $100 with batteries?

And what are these EFEST batteries I see? They seem to have the highest MAH and highest amp rating of all the batteries but how good r they?

Thanks

Well I like the segelei 50watt v2 it has a nice magnetic door so u can swap batteries really quickly.... What site would you recommend to use to buy stuff? The only place I've found with the segelei 50watt is eciggity.com and its $90 there... Plus I'm thinking of getting a manger sub-ohm tank. Heard great reviews about it.

Honestly shoot me with some ideas for some devices I'll check them all out.

I got that Xpro M50 and really like it so far, but the battery wouldn't last me more than a day (using a Samsung 25r) if I was using it exclusively. I do rotate between 6 boxes, and still have to charge the m50 every other day. I do use the usb charging since the battery is a pain to remove, and I like it better than my cana dna30 and my ipv mini. It's lighter, smaller, and has more wattage (I usually stay below 25 watts with Billow / Lemo builds of 0.8-1.3ohm). I'm looking at the istick 50 watt that Roxy mentioned, might get one when they come out. I think it's 4400mah and that should last 2 days without a charge for me.

I'm deciding between the smoktech m50 and the segelei 50watt v2. The plus side of the segelei is the magnetic battery door so its easy to swap the batteries. The smoktech m50 has that stupid delay wheb firing it... Can't figure that one out either...

Any other suggestions...?

And how about good websites to shop at??? Can fasttech be trusted?

And what is the deal with batteries? What is the best battery around? I see batteries at 2100mah but provide 30amps and other that are 2500mah but only 25amp. Which battery will last longer? I'm really confused on this.

I don't build, but based on what I've read, expect the 100W plus to easily get through the day running my tanks at under 40W, mostly 30W - 35W. Not sure if I can get a second day, but have a backup for when batteries are charging without having to give up the Atlantis or subtank.

Edit: And if need be, a couple more batteries for just over $20 eliminates any question.

Thank you. I mean if I strapped down the cash and bought the segelei 100watt with 2 batteries am I looking at that much more battery life? I'll prolly run around 25 watts. This MVP 20watt I'm using has a 2600mah battery and its lucky to last me all day while vaping at 18watts.

I have 2 sets of batteries for mine so I'm never without. I'm running 11-13 setups every day so you know I'm not charging batts as often. I'm getting 4 days out of the Sigelei between changes. But, I would have to think you would get a whole day no matter what you were running it at. Its my power outage emergency mod :D. Between my 2 pairs of batts I expect the power will be back on before I get desperate :)

So I'm looking for a store to purchase from which nobody has recommended and I've been asking about devices which nobody has really chimed in in either. I don't need to know about wattages and stuff. I need to get a reliable device at a good price from a good site.

Well, the new Sig 50W is new so nobody can really give you advice on it yet. Same with the istick 50W.

I've had good service from Eciggity, 101vape, Fluidvapes, Vaporleaf, Big Buddha, Focalecig, and Fasttech.

I've had bad experiences with one ebay seller and a couple forum suppliers here. I don't want to name them because that's for the negative review area.

I gave the site and my recommendation, although about $30 - $35 more then you mentioned, so my work here is done. And Roxy gave you quite a list of sites, although I am only familiar with a couple of them. Do your "shopping" and get that vape mail coming. All is good!

Sorry if this came off a little brash......I didn't intend it to be. :toast: :vapor:
