Hi guys, very new to the vaping community but I've been doing my research a few months prior to getting myself an IPV D2. It's paired with a kangertech tank but has yet to work properly for me. (Which is making me extremely sad)

So I've found that my resistance for a 28 gauge / 5 wraps single coil kanthal build gets me crazily high resistance readings. Like 2.5-3.5 ohms. I've made sure everything is in order, screws are tight, wire is making good contact etc. but the resistance still won't rectify itself. I've even swapped tanks and OCCs but still get ridiculously high resistance. I'm still able to vape though, although the flavour is slightly off. Am really worried. Any advice kind sirs?

Thanks guys! Can't wait to get it sorted out. I'm using tc mode!
Ah! What kind of wire are you using? Special, non-resistance wire is required for TC mode. If you're using regular old Kanthal or NiChrome, TC will not function and this may be the problem. The coil you mentioned should be a lot lower than the resistance you mention in Kanthal, and under .15 in non-resistance wire. Something, as you say, is wrong. Could be you have a bad mod.
