Just rebuilt my protank SR head with a vivi nova LR coil. It was tough and it looks terrible (sorry, no pics, too scared to open it back up) but I noticed I'm getting TONS of vapor... but also much louder popping. Is this safe to vape? I haven't noticed anything bad yet, just clouds upon CLOUDS of vapor. Do the normal LR heads do this, too?

It's perfectly safe to vape! The change from SR to LR means two things:
1. The coil gets hotter so you vaporize more juice thus more vapor.
2. With the LR coil you will see shorter times before your battery needs changing/recharging.

I think that kinda depends on ones vaping habits, as opposed to coil resistance. I for one would hit the cut-off limit on my ego's with 2.4 ohm heads, but didnt need to hold that button quite as long to get the same vape with 1.8's. So... yes, its using more power to heat the coil, but there was more button time with the 2.4... so in the end, it kind of balanced itself out for me...
