Help it broke

my firing pin broke, it snapped off.

I have a rebuild kit i'm trying to install.

in the video they say to loosen the center pin by turning it to the left and then pop the firing pin off. mine does not pop off. there is this rubber gromit THING encasing it and it is like STUCK to the center pin it WILL NOT MOVE.

Already having a horrible day and just wanted to vape and then this happened. I need help please someone help.

You removed the feed tube right? It's glued on the nipple from factory.

Using a large flat head screw driver on top to hold the pin still while turning the nipple with a needle nose plyers?

Also when you get it off don't remove anything you see inside the 510 hole. There's insulation in there that needs to be there to prevent it from shorting. Some have cleaned that out and then they had to send it in to repair.

Left would loosen the pin.. turn it to the right to over tighten it and make it snap in half as its thin brass. You don't need it as you get a new one in the kit so that's why they say to snap it off to make it easy.

Just be carefull to have a good solid grip with the flat head screw driver on top so you can feel when you snug up the nipple so you don't over tighten it and cause it to crack and snap off when you go to put it back on.

What I did was file down a flat head to fit the groove on the 510 perfectly for thst firm grip. Was a pain but it made all the difference for me getting it right the second time as I broke it the first time.

Assumed it's the older none adjustable 510 since they have a broken contact.

Might of gotten it off and putting it together since so much time has passed.

Super ouch.. just had a vision of over tightenh the delrin cover screw! Don't do that when you put it back together! Snug and no more or you will strip the threads on the soft aluminum body of the reo.

This is a view of the RM2. If the threads on the bottom of the post are stripped/damaged, then it MAY be possible to get them to bite and screw in by wrapping some wire around them - your coiling wire.

Do make sure you trim it if you try this and avoid shorting your atty, especially with your luck today!

The best course maybe to buy a new atty.

Yeah that was the guide that I was following it said unscrew the posts and then unscrew the 510 at the bottom. As it turns out though my doesn't have anywhere you could unscrew it at the bottom so once I got the post of the screw there is nothing else that I could do I didn't do anything else I wipe the top of it down because it was gross and then went to screw them back in and one of them screws it in the other one just spins. They should really put a disclaimer on the top of that died of if yours doesn't have a place you can unscrew the bottom then don't do it!

Maybe rob will chime in on it.. my rm2s both have no screw head at the bottom.. just a hole for juice.

Prob why I never had juice under the rm2 since theres no flat head cut on the positive pin.

That prob has nothing to do with the post not screwing in though. The brass base it screws into must be stripped.

Using the wire method is prob your fix since it will make the threads on the post larger to grip.
