Is there a fix for this problem? My unit leaks through the atomizer and battery compartment horribly. I'm not exactly sure why or how it started since it didn't for the first few months, but starting a couple months ago it started leaking like crazy to the point that each time I swap the batteries I have to completely dismantle and clean it and it will puddle juice under it when standing on the base end. Due to the leaking it ends up seeping into the connections and I actually get lower vapor at 6V than I do on any random junk 3.7V model.

Is there a recommended fix that I could apply to stop this from happening without breaking the unit? If there isn't I'm afraid that I will end up having to toss the unit and that would be heartbreaking.

edit: if it matters, I'm using a 510 adapter.

Check to see if the attie connection is loose. I may just need to be tightened back up. :)

Everything is tight. What is happening is that the fluid leaks around the center post of the adapter, down between the post and the plastic grommet, then into the atomizer connector on the cap where it then does the same thing down and into the battery compartment at which point it spreads onto everything and eventually through the blast holes on the rear of the unit.

Did you remove the end cap and check under there to make sure it is tight?

Cake,

As you can see in this photo, there is a plastic washer between the hex nut and center post. Does yours still have this?

Thanks

Perhaps your bottom cap spring is collapsed causing the top cap to not seal good.

Does yours look like mine in this photo:

My spring is compressed about .5mm to keep it in the caliper while taking the photo. So about 28.5~29mm in total length.

The spring on the bottom is a bit compressed, but I've been making that up with magnetic spacers and there isn't any play on the little metal bit on the cap. I use 2xCR2 most of the time, but I get this regardless of battery configuration. I'm going to do another dismantle job on it right now and will post if I have problems removing the center thread.

Rob, can we order that spring as pictured above from your site? Mine on my GGT has collapsed a couple times and I keep having to stretch it out and it's not holding it's shape very well anymore.

Let me know if I can order it and what spring model it is.

Thanks

I will send some of them to Rob my friend Boom:)

I can get the center bit out ... though it was a bit of an adventure to figure out how and I f'd it up a bit in the process (scratched up cap, chip in the top thread on the brass center cylinder). It still functions when reassembled though is still drippy.

What it looks like is happening is the plastic tube in the center is allowing fluid to go between the brass cylinder and the plastic.

exactly friend. So please try to unthread this plastic and tell me if you can do it with a small screwdriver
