RDA help making U-wick for hellfire mini

Just got a Hellfire mini yesterday in the mailD) took almost a year a half but I'm thrilled anyway. I've never made a u-wick and failed bad at last night. need some tips and the size of mesh to start with Thx

The key is to cut the mesh DIAGONALLY so the U will shape nicely without buckling or kinking. I have a HF Mini, and while I don't currently use the U-wick technique, but I used to when I first got it. I don't know measurements, but just make it a good bit longer than needed and trim to the right size. For the mini, the width of the mesh can't be more than two centimeters.
