Hi all. I recently purchased a V2 cigs starter kit. I am coming from about 30 cigarettes a day. I was able to cut back to about 5 with the new set up. I am looking to upgrade to a better system. I am looking for a longer battery (much longer), more smoke, and something i dont have to suck so hard on to get the smoke. Can you guys steer me in the right direction please.

Thanks

Robert

I would recommend the ego battery and a stardust cartomizer....if you want to go for a small upgrade. The ego batteries should last around 6-8 hours and the CE4 is a really easy to use cartomizer. The vivi nova tanks are also great. If you want to go expensive I think the provari is a great upgrade. Egos are pretty much the one size fits all solution to your problem but it all comes down to price. How much are you wanting to spend?

check out the 1300mah vision spinner..they have em at madvapes for 25$..it's a variable volt so you can up the voltage from 3.3volts to 4.8volts and in between..I just got mine today and it looks sweet..haven't used it yet but will later on..

look at the vivi nova for a rebuildable carto..they're really nice

I would say get 2 VV Spinners or Twists, and a couple of Vivi Novas.

Both the Spinners and Twists are Variable Voltage so you can dial in the best vape for you. The higher voltage of both, will give more vapor, and flavor than the V2 you are using. And I said 2 because you'll want one to be available while you charge the other, also in case one dies, you have a backup.

The vivi nova's are pretty simple to use. It's a nice tank that says it holds 3.5ml, but its more like 2.8-3ml. It has changable heads, which is super easy, or you can rebuild the heads yourself. Having more than one is nice so you can have multiple flavors without having to clean the tank out.

Oh you'll also need a charger, and eliquid if you arent refilling your v2s.

If you are looking for something that you dont have to suck hard you might want to go with a cartomizer or tank cartomizer. The Stardust has a really tight draw. I picked up a Vision Spinner Starter kit from NexGenVapors.com a couple weeks ago. Came with 2 900mah Spinners, 2 Smoktech dual coil tank cartomizers a charger and a case for about 80 bucks. I upgraded from Blu and I couldnt be happier!

What is a small upgrade? How many hours would you rate the battery on the V2? Seems to me like a hour or 2. What makes the Provari worth so much more than the other? I dont have a budget, but want to get something i can use for a long time and be happy with. Thanks for the help!

Robert

You will be perfectly happy if you go from a V2 to a Spinner or Twist, but if you have no budget, then yes a Provari is worth the money :p I went from blu to V2 to a provari, and I couldn't be happier. I have bought a Spinner as a backup, and I am very impressed with that little unit too, but my provari is mostly what I use.

Wow, you guys are so knowledgeable. Guess im gonna have to study the terminology better. I can only understand bit and pieces lol. Thanks to all for the help, gonna research the recommendations.

Hey bmf_rrh,

Don't feel like you are alone, just check out the join dates on most people posting and how long they have been vaping. I just started less than a month ago and have spent hour after hour on this forum. One of the best posts is the one that says "Pictures of your setup". You can see a ton of different MODs (modifications other than small e-cigs) I started with Smokless Image Volts because of the recommendations of both quality, low price and great customer service, however except for the X2 line of batteries, they are starter to intermediate vaping devices. Check out their products from the forum suppliers link. Recommendations for the Ego Twist and Spinner models should be considered. Note: The Smokless Image products have different threads on the batteries than the Twist and Spinners do but adapters are available to interchange tanks etc. Moving up is a BIG decision mainly depending on $ you wish to spend. Some of the high end models go for $200 to $300 dollars and the Caravela model is a work of art.

when first popping up here the intimidation factor is overwhelming at first, but do not fear and don't feel alone, do not feel you have to scan over post after post trying to educate yourself by yourself, feel free to ask questions and everyone here will be happy to answer you or point you in the right direction so feel free to ask away at any time.

i too started w V2 so to help a little bit in a way you can relate the v2 batteries go up to 320Mah, (the xl) this the amount of power in the battery - the terms ego twist and vision spinner are larger batteries up to 1300Mah. and will last well beyond a day of vaping.
go to v2 right now and you will see the new tank for sale, this is called a clearomizer and for something like a twist and spinner there are tons of options, at v2 you can buy prefilled carts, well for the bigger batteries they offer empty carts you fill yourself for pennies compared to prefilled.

I started with V2 as well, and for the same reasons as you, I am trying to move on! I have been using the stardust type Clearos for the last few months and found them to be a natural transition! The ones I use (smokeless image type as mentioned above) have the same 808 threads and you can still use your carts/batts with them! They are easy to refill and last a long time.

Provari's seem like a huge step up for me at this point, on my budget, but one can dream :)

as has been said, for the money the best value would be to go with an Ego battery, you can use a twist, or a standard one. the 1000 should give you around 10 hours of vaping. I have ready that basically divide by 10 and that is the life, in hours, of that batteries charge. Give yourself a couple of the Vision Vivi Nova tanks, they are simple to use, and clean, and inexpensive to replace the attys when they burn out. You will also want to buy a type C sleeve to cover the threads. This would be a great mid to upper level upgrade. I personally don't see the need to go spending hundreds of dollars on a provari. Though if I got one I might see what the fuss is all about.

Also there are passthru batteries, these let you hook them up to your usb connection while vaping thus using the direct power vs your battery. Great for when vaping at the computer.

If you have the money, get the Provari V2. You will not regret it. It is very solidly built. Think old school American made machined stainless. You cannot kill this thing.

Most can go all day on one battery...with the extended cap and larger battery, most can go all day and into the next. You can run LR dual coil heads. You can drop it on the concrete.

Those little 'look like a cig' things are crap. I started on them, and got tired of dead batteries.

Then the Provari has something that the little devices don't have: Resale value.

Hi guys. I ended up going with the vision spinners and the viva nova tanks. I really liked the spinners as far as how long the battery lasted. The problem is the things fall apart. I bought two and one fell apart and the other the button is not working. The viva nova tanks i got one big one and one small one. The bigger one i love, but the little one leaks like a old faucet. I am thinking of going with a provari V2. Does this use the viva tanks? How would the battery life be compared to my spinners? Are there elite tanks?

Thanks All

Robert
