OK. so I've been posting, reading and learning. So confusing. I have finally decided that I want a starter kit. I want it to be manual, with cartomizers. I would like it to be a unit that is not really large, with a good throat hit and a lot of vapor. I am a 35yr plus a pack a day smoker. Menthols. Please as inexpensive as possible. I'd appreciate any help. I'm ready to shop.
Thanks in advance.:(

If you're looking for a cigarette-like PV, kr808 or 510 kits are the best. I'd get a 510 because the 510 connection is the most popular and you you can easily upgrade with time--you can add fat batteries like Riva or eGo, you can try tanks (ego-T type B and 510-T are my favorites), etc. However, 510 kits DO NOT come with cartomizers, so you'll have to get a box of cartos a la carte! I recommend Boge 510 (2.5Ω for starters).

You can also try the generic kits I already linked for you in the other thread. The are much cheaper and the reviews are good.

You can get a nice and inexpensive 510 starter kit at Liberty Flights or (unboxed) at Cignot! Both are great vendors and stand 100% behind their products (Cignot's shipping is higher, though).

If you don't mind a slightly fatter battery, the least expensive (good quality) kit is the Riva 510: $30 from Liberty-Flights (the "Lite Bundle,"-- 750 mAh 3.7V two-battery/two-atomizer kit). Click the "20% Discount" icon in the upper left of the screen first, to see that price. The Riva is compatible with all 510 atomizers and cartomizers and with most eGo-specific atties, cartos, and accessories. If you prefer cartomizers, order a Riva carto deluxe kit; if they are out at the moment, ask Ty if he could put a kit together for you. He's a very nice person and I'm sur he'll be happy to accomodate your needs. I recommend an extra box of 2.0 or 2.5Ω Boge cartomizers, just for starters, to go with your kit.

Don't forget to buy some eliquid.

Good luck.

I agree on the Riva. It will last a PAD+ smoker much longer. I got my riva 10 days ago. I was swapping out 510 batteries faster than they could re-charge. Today I vaped 5, going to 6 soon, riva/eGo batteries. But I was a chain smoker at 3 PAD some days, so now I chain vape. Dont know what I'd have done at fireworks without the spares! Plus Riva comes with 2 batteries. Used with regular cartos you should be fine. I use LR dual cartos so they go fast. At some point you will want to go on the classifieds and get at least one extra ego or riva spare battery for emergencies(like when the power goes out and you cant re-charge right away).

I see you are in Richmond, shameless plug for a shop I'm not affiliated with, but just like to hang out at. But why not come visit the Vapor Lounge in Midlothian. They have ego-t starter kits there, a bit pricier than what you can find online, but some very knowledgable guys behind the counter who can get you started on vaping and answer all your questions and show you everything.

Could someone tell me what 1 x USB Fast Charger and 1 x USB Mains Plug (US) are. Can I plug one of these in the wall?

Also, I want to order the Black Riva 510 - Carto Deluxe when I get paid Friday. They are out and I need to know - who the heck is TY and how do I find him? Lol.

Ty, aka ImYourSalt, is Liberty Flights' supplier associate extraordinaire and a wonderful guy. Send him an email:

support@liberty-flights.com

or

Ty@Liberty-Flights.co.uk

and start a thread with your questions in their subforum:

Liberty Flights

Just describe your situation and ask for advice. You'll get all kinds of tips and good advice from the regulars there.

USB Mains Plug is a wall adapter, aka wall wart; it lets you connect your fast charger to your wall outlet--highly recommended.

Get a KR808D-1 Starter Kit from myvaporstore.com. Only $32.50. Or you could get a the exact same kit from China for $29.99 but it'll take a month to get to ya. They have prefilled cartomizers but they're Kanger (you don't want those). Get some Menthol filled 18mg Boge cartos too. You'll be in menthol/vaping heaven in no time.

@Katya

Ahhhhhhhh... FINALLY! I just ordered my RIVA 510. Was hoping to order it a few days ago but had other priorities. I got the SE kit (Not a gold fan myself) and ordered a translucent drip tip since they were out of the Delrin (Type D's.) Also ordered the RIVA carrying case. Do you know if it's the same zipper case as the LF EGO zip case? I hope so. Unfortunately there wasn't a picture for the RIVA version of it so I just went for it anyway. Thanks again for the recommendation. I can't wait to get my new Rig!!!
