Help me de-wick gunked coils please

<---- Sheepishly enters this part of the forum. Just need to pull old wick out of T3 and Evod heads, they are stuck TIGHT. Tried rinsing under very hot water, tried scraping the coil with a needle, pulling with tweezers I almost pulled the coils out! Tried dry-burning for just a few seconds, the wick looked clean but still stuck.

There has to be a secret I haven't heard yet. . .

hold the coil between your thumb and finger.
with your other thumb and finger pinch the wick and twist/spin the wick out of the coil.

Trying to re-wick without rebuilding if I can, in the case of a functional but gurgling/leaking coil head.

Would an alcohol soak help? I've never done it, would have to go out and buy some vodka because we don't drink!

91% alcohol from walleyworld works too (2.00)
you could brush it a little with a tooth brush, fire it, brush it, fire it
