Happy 4th!
Alright, so I have my trusty RN4081, and I'm basically dripping on it because I get the best vapor and performance that way. Its look and ease make it cool for work too. So I am looking for a PV that I can use to enjoy around the house, something with good flavor, more vapor ( but not necesarily obscene, lol) and that I can use as a back-up at work when the RN needs recharging, etc.
So I have boiled it down to
1. 510- all the reviews speak for themselves, downsides are lack of flavor, too short batt life.
2. 901- everybody says its got great flavor, but from what I gather vapor production is a bit lacking?
3. VX2- I've heard some good things here, some bad things. When the reviews are good its all pluses, but when they are bad they make me wonder if its worth the gamble, or what.

So what do you think? Which one should I go for next? I am honestly stumped as they all seem balanced on the whole.

Hmmmm, to be honest I think I'm leaning heavily towards the 510. Seems the all around favorite around here.
BTW, isn't throat hit really more dependent on juice? With all the vapor I've seen 510 produce I would have thought throat hit was a given.

It is my experience that the battery has as much to do with throat hit as all other factors combined..........

Batt? huh, thats interesting. I figured the batt would be a big element in the vapor/taste aspect but not in the throat hit aspect. I thought that was all about nic levels.
I swear the learning curve on this is steep.

I think its the 510. Whats a good place to get it? In the States, that is.

Battery is a more significant element to CONSISTENT throat hit than liquid although liquid nic strength is important, also. That is why so many members have switched to the Prodigy, Screwdriver, Janty Stick, GG and LV. Plus the batteries cost $2 instead of $13-$20.

Bigger battery, manual switch, hotter atomizer, user control, warmer vapor and thus better throat hit.

Where did you end up ordering from, out of curiosity. I ordered mine from Midwest Vapor. Very prompt delivery (only $5.50 for 2 day priority mail), and great customer service. Then of course I lost my 510 only 4 days after receiving it on a drunken 4th of July. Now I gotta wait til Wednesday for the replacements :(. I find myself smoking analogs, wishing I had my e-cig. I like it so much better than smoking, though I had already pretty much quit before I even heard of vaping.

I decided, since I am broke, to go with the Inno-Vapor starter kit for $25. I figure I get to see if the 510 is for me. If it is I'll research others...especially since I want a PCC with it, as I hear the batts don't last long.
Read some reviews on Innovapor and they seem good. I'll definitely post an update when I get it.
So, for the time you had the 510, what did you think?

Oh man. After only about a half-hour with it, I had made the switchover in my mind (though, like I said, I had nearly quit analogs already--only when drinking--but I desperately missed the hand-to-mouth, oral-fixation, etc. when doing "trigger" activities, which was nearly everything LOL). I find that in my excitement waiting for my replacement to arrive, I'm smoking analogs again, wishing they were my 510. I've tried every other nicotine-replacement and/or pharmaceutical solution out there (Chantix worked well for me, but evidently a lot of people have problems with it, and it still doesn't address the oral fixation--I tried lollipops but could feel my teeth rotting with the amount I'd have to eat) . Nothing has come anywhere close. I actually prefer vaping to smoking, hands-down. I like the fact that I can use very low or no-nicotine juice for the times when I'm not drinking and really craving a smoke, but just want that hand-to-mouth action, and it tastes so much better! As for performance of the 510 itself, I have really nothing to compare to. I just checked out as many video reviews as I could and that seemed like the perfect model for me. I also want the PCC and don't really have the cash right now, but I figure I can get by without it for a couple weeks while I get used to vaping in general. I have a feeling if you try the 510 you'll love it. :D

Keep in mind that I'm rather new and it's the only one I've ever used, but I'm gonna throw in my vote for the 510. Awesome throat hit, manual battery, and with a PCC the crap battery life is a non-issue. As far as flavor goes, RY4 and Tobacco flavor from e-smokey treats taste awesome in it (high strength) and I have two more flavors on the way from a different manufacturer that I'll give my two cents on upon their arrival.
