So... I want to start DIY.

I've read the stickies, as many threads as I could and blogs until my eyes bled. But...

I'm on a budget. Tax return is nigh, but so are bills and so I only have a small portion to upgrade my setup and get booted into the wonderful world of "mad scientist" juice. Spend wisely, right?

The question being: what should I put in my cart? And which cart?

I'm looking for the cleanest nic at the best price (preferably 100 mg). Labware? (No clue what I need to start, other than some syringes and a beaker.) Low price small bottles of USP VG and PG. I have a list of flavors I want to start with (mostly from ghosting this sub forum and saving recipes), but will gladly accept suggestion lists of starter flavors. I'm looking at 90% TFA with some FW and Cap thrown in.

Once I get my foot in the door, and my car paid off, I plan on stocking up for "vape-ageddon". But not quite yet... So, figuring out which nic/price is right for me is important.

I know of most of the sites commonly recommended, but was hoping the vets might know who's got the best sales at the moment, or where I could get the best bang for my buck. I was thinking Wizard Labs for the majority, but am willing to change.

So... I throw myself upon the collective mercy. Suggest away. All I ask is keep in mind two things - n00b, and low budget (as in <$50 preferred, shipping not withstanding).

Thanks to all, and you guys rock.

In case anyone was wondering, here's kinda what I was looking at:

(Info point: I vape 50/50 up to 70/30 vg/pg. Anywhere from 12mg to 3mg depending on setup.)

(Also, I have a lot of empty bottles stashed away, a few unopened sterile 10ml syringes and basic safety gear from other hobbies. And a Tractor Supply and a Southern States down the road. Fyi. :D)

Basic cart idea:
E-liquid Starter Kit - DIY E-LIQUID SUPPLIESDIY E-LIQUID SUPPLIES
and
Flavors (assort.) from Wizard Labs
Nicotine testing kit from Wizard Labs
= 23.94 + flavors

I was also considering grabbing a 120ml of 60mg VG nic from Wizard to try their nic. Same idea with the $2 sample of 100mg VG nic from Nude Nicotine. And a 125ml of 60mg VG nic from MFS. (Maybe not all right now due to budget, but to try them as I can and see what's better per price range.) I don't like harsh or peppery nic base and can taste it in cheap store bought juice. Yuck!

Flavor wise, I was thinking of an adapted list from Bills Magic Vapor:

(TFA unless marked)
Vanilla Swirl
Vanilla Custard
Sweet Cream
Bavarian Cream
French Vanilla Cream
Dulce de Leche
Cotton Candy
Sweetener
Brown Sugar
Graham Cracker
Pie Crust
Marshmallow
Sweet and Tart
Cinnamon Danish
Hazelnut
Koolada
Lemon
Apple
Bananas Foster
Juicy Peach
Pineapple
Strawberry
Raspberry
Kiwi
Jamaican Rum
Honey
Pear
Yumberry FW
Mangosteen FA
Lychee
And probably one or two I forgot at the moment.

Comments? Opinions? Suggestions? :2c::vapor:

IMHO forget the starter kit. Go to Ebay and get a pack of long blunt needles (14 ga, 4") to go on the syringes you already have and a 10 ml graduated glass cylinder. From MyFreedomSmokes get yourself 500ml VG and 500ml PG and 1 liter of 100mg nicotine and 4 250ml amber glass bottles with caps (freezer 3 of the bottles, one for daily usage). And from Bull City Vapors order the flavors ya want. From Walmart get some small pill cups.

If I had to start all over again, this is how I would do it. With the nicotine, fill the amber bottles as full as you can then use some electrical tape on the cap. Put the bottle in a ziplock bag, then put that into a zip lock bag and then put that into a zip lock bag until each bottle is triple bagged just to be safe. Then put 3 of them in the freezer and I heard of it lasting 10 years this way.

Noticed you didnt have any tobacco flavors. To begin with Capella's has a tobacco pack thats I found worth it.

I was under the idea it's better to have large and small syringes for accuracy? And I'd love to start with that much base, but it would eat my entire budget just on nic. Maybe a smaller bottle though.

What's the reason for the electrical tape? And how/where?

Not really into tobacco at the moment, kinda already ran that course. But I'll keep that on the list for a future order just in case!
Money wise for the flavors on your list I'm guessing Wizard Labs to be about as good a price as any. I'd advise skipping the kit though. One Stop is having a moving sale (18% off) so they might be worth checking out. I'd fill a cart there and at WL and compare the two.
Oooh... moving sale... Definitely will be doing a test cart. Does their nic base differ from WL? Taste/quality wise?
