Hello all,

Firstly, I have read through the long list of stickies and haven't found a specific answer to my question, so I figured I could make a dedicated thread for the issue in hopes that some of the vets could shed some light.

There's actually 2 separate issues, and they are:

1) I recently bought a number of items from a website (smokeforpennys.com), and one of them was a 5-pack of atomizers. They are labeled as eGo-T 2.0ohm atomizers, which I assumed would be like the eGo-T, but after inspection, I found that the wick resembled that of an eGo-C, although it didn't have the screw at the bottom to take the thing apart. Is it possible to clean these? It doesn't look like I can take it apart at all. Here's a link to the item:
eGo-T 2.0ohm Atomizers(5-Pack) - Penny 's Store

Does anyone know what kind of atomizers I ordered and how they're different from regular eGo-T's? I'm a bit baffled as a newbie.

2) The eGo-T atomizers that came with the set I bought from the website were actually eGo-T atomizers, although after taking one apart for cleaning, I noticed that the wick didn't have a metal hat keeping it together, so when I removed the small metal piece with a screwdriver, the wick remained stuck to the heating coil and went all over the place. I assume the wick was simply folded over and stuffed in, but after carefully taking it out with tweezers and cleaning it I found that the metal piece would simply not lock back into place. This happened two times with two atomizers already. Do some models not ship with the metal hat?

Thanks in advance for reading my post!

There are clone Ego-T atomizers around just like there are clone Egos - when you want the real thing buy Joye aka joyetech or Janty. Also the ones you bought are low resistance (hotter). And there are two sizes of Ego-T attys - the A tube and the B wider tube.

I have no clue what any of them look like inside or if the A tube and B tube look different, or how the Ego-C atomizer compares. So I am not much help.

BTW by metal hat do you mean the spike plate?

It doesn't say Joye on it, so I'm guessing it's a generic brand. By metal hat I mean the little thing that holds the wick together, not the spike plate itself (from problem 2). I guess I don't mind so much that my battery is generic brand but I guess the lesson learned here is that I'll buy brand name atomizers next time. ;)

I still have no idea what kind of an atomizer I'm smoking out of, though. It's like an eGo-C/T hybrid.
