So, I've been smoking for about 2 years now, ever since i got my first job, (16 years old), about a pack every 3-5 days. One of my friends introduced vaping to me and we absolutely loved it.

Long story short i ended up buying a FOOZ Mod from the local Discount Smokes shop, it broke in a month. I kept on buying them and they kept on breaking, so i gave up and started smoking Cigs again.

I am in a metal band now, so either i have to give up my passion, which is screaming angry words into crowds of people moshing and beating the .... out of each other, or give up smoking, because if i keep doing both, I'm gonna do serious damage to my vocal chords and can permanently lose my voice.

So i have been researching today and have came up with this setup so far: (It isnt letting me post links.. idk why)
Device: Vamo V5 Variable Voltage/Wattage Mod / APV stainless steel
Tank: Authentic Protank 3 Dual Coil Glassomizer (2.5mL) 2.0ohm
Tank replacement Coils: Clearomizer Coil Heads For Kanger Protank (5-Pack) 2.1-2.2Ω / single heating wire
Battery: ????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Question 1. Is that device the best i can get for that price?? I dont want a box mod, and i do want the ability to choose how hard the device hits. I want a device between $50-$75.

Question 2. I have heard that BBC tanks are best for flavor and good hits. Is this true? If so, are those tanks the best available? That tank is 2.0 OHM, while the only coil heads i can find for it are 2.1 - 2.2 OHM.
--- Are all replacement coil heads compatible with all tanks? How do you know which ones work with each other?

And where in the hell do i find a battery and a charger for this device?!?!?! i havent been able to find one anywhere..

Thanks to whomever is nice enough to help me get started with this! :D

sounds like you are an active person...
The Vamo is a nice unit for its price.... just dont drop it. they break easy
as far as the atty.... do you want flavor or cloud?
if its flavor you are looking for, than consider an HCigar 3.1 Kayfun Clone (40ish$)
for a sturdy medium cost mod look into the SVD ( 35ish$)
these prices are from Fasttech and Luxorvapes...
if your finances are more forgiving
Provari for the mod ( pretty tuff unit)
and still the HC 3.1

I really like the look and the reviews of the SVD. I'm probably going to go with that one instead.

Not sure what an ATTY is, or "cloud", sorry but im new to this kinda thing and am not so familiar with the terms :p but yes flavor is probably the more important part here.

What about batteries for this device?

BEFORE you buy an SVD... read the SVD thread; they have more button problems than you can shake a stick at.

Try the Sigelei Zmax v3 or v5... awesome mod, just $39.95(v3) or $46.95(v5) at Desert Vapes. Their shipping is amazing too; I ordered mine Sat. night, regular 1st class, and it came today.

PS. In the Sigelei thread the other day, someone said something that seemd to indicate they thought I was getting a Vamo.. I said no, I'm getting a Sigelei v3... someone else piped up with "I have a Vamo... you made a good choice." From which I can only infer that people who own both, prefer the Sigelei.

Also, batteries: the long, longer lasting ones, 18650s, Amazon has a good price on a pair of them, $20.99.

The shorter ones, 18350s, also a fair price at Amazon for a pair, $7.89+$4.99 shipping, or $12.88/free shipping.

And a decent charger, also at Amazon, the Nitecore i4, $15.40 -- both it and 18650's mentioned above are fulfilled by Amazon, so if you order them together, you get free shipping (over $35).

atty = atomizer... RDA = rebuildable dripping atomizer... lots to choose from for sure..and confusing for new vapers.. IMO best flavor comes from an RDA.. before you get into RDAs you should research it here at ECF... for batteries i use the sony vtc 4 or vtc 5.... great 18650 batteries ...

I recently got into vaping just in the last 2 weeks. I was told to get an itaste vv version 3.0. And im loving it, depending on the juice you get, it may crack the atomizer im about to tell you i use, but my local shop works well with the plastic canisters. But I am using a T3S, with a 2.4ohm coil. The itaste vv, has adjustable voltage and wattage, and now that I found where I like it to be set to, im loving every minute of it.

Looks good; but the after the protank3 they came out with the aerotank which has adjustable airflow control.
Otherwise I recommend the miniprotank2 instead because the miniprotank2 comes with the solid eGo base instead of the small 510 thread.

BCC (bottom coil changeable) tanks are more popular nowadays; such as the protanks.
It's not the tank which is 2 ohm it is the replacement coil you put in the tank; same thing for dual coil; the coil can be anywhere between 1.5 ohm and 3 ohm it it won't matter to you because you VAMO will adjust for it.

the batteries for the vamo is the 18650 batteries; that 18mm diameter by 35mm length
You'll need a charger for the batteries and you should read up on lithium ion battery safety.

For new users I recommend for a starter kit getting an MVP2, and a miniprotank2; no charger required. The MVP2 just plugs in to usb to charge

itaste vv 3.0 are great but have a 800 mah rating so the mvp 2.0 is the better choice ....2 or 3 day battery life...
