Hey ECF I am trying to decide which clone to purchase. From what I have read the Atomo V2 clone is the nicest clone on the market with its magnetic button, reverse threaded locking ring, and telescoping pin. The problem is that it is out of stock at Vape Royalty and everywhere else on the web. So I have been looking at my other options, looks wise I like the Caravela and Turtle Ship V2 clones the best. However, I don't like how the Caravela lacks adjustability and only works with certain batteries. The Turtle Ship V2 clone seems like a good choice but I can't decide whether the hcigar version is worth twice as much as fast tech version. Does anyone have experience with both hcigar and FT clones? Is there a noticeable difference in quality or are they both just clones made in some factory in China? If anyone has other suggestions for clean looking non telescoping clones please comment.

My tobeco version1 turtleship fell on its switch the other night getting out of work truck... it's a cheaper alloy, so it bent, and not in an easy spot to fix.. bent where button meets switch and lock ring.

I wish I had a direct answer to hcigar version.. check out the apv discussion.

Edit
Atomo v1 is nice. Button doesn't stick out, so it won't fire without having a lock ring..

Nemesis is a good choice too..

the sentinel m16 is a nice one, im using it right now. only issue is the botton works out. I put some lock tite on it and its better. feels like a tank.

my brother has the nemesis clone and I like it. looks nice and hits hard. very adjustable. the locking ring feels cheap though. thats the only issue I have with it and thats not a big deal

At a little over 20 bucks the turtle ship from FT is hard to pass up, its so damn sexy. I really need a locking ring for when I throw my vape in my backpack before class, I would constantly be worried about the Atomo V1 firing. However, i don't like how the turtle ship doesn't have a reverse threaded locking ring. I might just have to wait for the Atomo V2 to come back in stock

Love my nemesis, Can't argue with the design or the price. The launcher V2 by Raivapes has great reviews, kick compatible and best of all has copper contacts. Something im going to be getting soon.

I really don't like telescoping mods for some reason. I have considered the nemesis at length but I feel like everyone has one and they are pretty over rated.

My v1 turtleship is tobeco.. I'm sure fast tech is also, but fast tech says it's reverse threaded. Mine isn't, but I have a floating pin.. I'll gladly put up with the lock ring in exchange for floating pin.. when I first got it, I had issues having switch come off or almost with lock ring.. I don't know if it just broke in or I got use to it, but it stopped doing that after a few days. Also, dropping it on the switch the other day seems like it helped.:)

If you know it's going in your book bag, fasttech or chinabuye or whatever...

Why do you think they are overated? Lol There a beauty to look at, and perform just as well as it looks. Honestly If your looking for something to perform better for a clone it's going to be the Launcher, Can't find a clone with copper contacts and telescoping isn't that big of a deal for me at least.

What could that some reason be? Lol, It's a solid performing mechmod that has better contacts and has great reviews. If I knew about the Launcher before I bought this nemesis I would have gotten the Launcher. Honestly Im not mad though cause now I'll have both haha.

Just get the copper nemesis. Or you could get this If you like " clones " per say haha. I honestly wouldn't mind this.
once it's back in stock of course

I have heard that most nemesis clones have crunchy buttons and for me a mech mod is mostly about looks and the quality of the switch since it is essentially just a battery tube with a switch and a 510 connection. I really haven't seen any telescoping mods that look clean with a flush mounted kayfun so I ruled them out. Copper is a soft metal and from what I have heard the copper nemesis is extremely soft and would dent severely with a drop.

BTW vape royalty is a piece of s h I t I bought a clone supposed to be a 1to1 total copy of poldiac and it was the same one that fasttech sells, they asked me to do a bunch of stuff to it to try to get it to work, I'm not an idiot I build mods, and I made it easy better but it's still a pos... Then they said they would send me another one of give me store credit... That's bs I want my money back. This is after a month of tons of emails and week waits for replies. I wouldn't order anything from those idiots. BTW the reason you shouldn't order a poldiac from them is that the positive pin needs to be reversed threaded otherwise it backs down and disconnects from the atty, even when I get it to work is hella intermittently and it's got like 1.7 min voltage drop. I really like the little Astro clone. The locking ring is not reverse threaded. It is telescopic. Built nice, cheep, and hits pretty hard. Mods in a back-pack--i do this too--pisces clone reverse threaded locking ring works a bit better for this. I have the TS clone too, from Vape Royalty. I really do not like it. Maybe i'm not using it right. Battery rattle--tried adjusting pos pin, but it works back up. I loosened the delrin ring @ the neg button end. This helped a bit. I never take that mod anywhere, and it only seems to be nice in 18350 mode. I usually use 18650. Oh, and the button was really hard to push on the TS. I chopped some off of the spring--that made the button alot nicer.

Astro tho, my favourite clone :D

I have the Nemesis from HCigar and it is awesome. No crunchy button at all. Another guy I know got one from Fastech and it's a total POS. Changed color after a few days and needed the magnets in the switch. I couldn't be happier with mine though.

+1

I would be careful where you buy it from as well. I bought a hcigar nemesis from vape royalty and a buddy of mine bought a hcigar nemesis from ebay. When we compared the two together, the ebay nemesis was not even close to being the same quality as the vape royalty version, even though they were both supposed to be made by hcigar. His bottom button was all crunchy and fired when sat down unlocked. His threads were also squeaky and needed attention before they felt smooth. Mine was prefect out of the box.
