For those of you who are really serious about wanting one PV that will replace all others and of course is variable volt, then the Darwin truely is that PV. There is no other PV with a built in microprocessor that automatically adjusts the wattage of the unit based on the change in the resistence of the atomizer or cartomizer. It really provides the ultimate in consistency over as long as you are vaping. No need for any other batteries either since it uses polymer batteries that are internal with a 1 year warranty. And the complete PV comes with a 2 year warranty. Have you seen that in any other PV, ever? I haven't. Plus it is so simple to use that someone who had never vaped before could use it out of the box and just about forget about it.

WV, are you having any leakage problems from the atty being in a sideways attitude when you arent using the darwin?

I only used it for the 5-6 hours at the Vape Fest. When I get mine, if I am using an atty on it and dripping, I plan to make sure it goes in my pocket with the top of the device down so the atty is pointing up just in case. Which is what you would do with any PV in your pocket, have the top of the atty upright. So I don't see any more problem occuring than any other PV from a leakage standpoint. I've vaped enough that I rarely over fill my attys or cartos.

The Darwin sounds really good but not being able to change the battery is a deal killer for me.

With a one year warranty on the batteries and the batteries hold a charge for about two days of heavy vaping, I'm not sure why that would be an issue. Plus it is the same as a pass-through whereas you can vape on it while you are charging it. If you plug it in every night when you sleep, it will always be charged.

Ha! I knew you wouldn't be able to resist!

Seriously though, I've been checking out everything I can about this mod and now I'm considering making it my next and last PV purchase.

It's all you fault...

The company may not be here in a year. What about the next year these batteries don't last forever. This company may honor it's warranties many others don't. So in general I tend not to place much stock in warranties. I'd rather be able to do it myself.

I also had the concern about the "staying power" of the company. After meeting Brandon and understanding that the three partners all own other companies that have been around for many years, those concerns went way down. ON the other had, if you buy a ProVari or Buzz or GLV and the button or a resister go bad, you could easily be in the same situation if those companies are not around to repair your device. My understanding is that you or someone who knows how to solder could replace the battery if you wanted to go that route. But I do understand your concern.
