I own a SID and I love it! It's funny because it's rare that you see SID recommendations but it's just like the Z-Max but with a better menu. You can use the eVic tubes or buy SID tubes in smaller sizes, to make it a "mini." The control heads can be replaced and it's VV and VW. The price is also really good! Here's mine!

Innokin makes some quirky but excellent devices. As was stated previously, the MVP and SVD are solidly built mid-price range apvs. Can't go wrong with either, IMO.

As a Single APV owner and it being the SVD I can make nothing but a 100 % recommendation for this mod. Especially if you go for the one sold on fasttech for 37 bucks! Feels 200% more valuable than what I paid. It is sturdy and extremely easy to use and understand.

Another vote for Vamo. I have a V3 purchased from fasttech and it was a trooper considering how many times I dropped it.

My V5 just arrived today from discountvapors. It was 58 and some change with shipping but I didn't want to wait the Chinese shipping time. I very much like it more than the V3, though I wasn't turned off by the V3 looks like many were. I got the stainless steel version, and it's a very solid feeling device. The menu is the same as the V3, very easy to operate without 18 clicks to do something. I'm pretty new to vaping and Vamo has been my first APV after egos, same as you, and I highly recommend.

I second getting a quality charger and batteries. The charger that came with my V3 from fasttech made a hissing sound while charging. This may or may not have been a problem, but my peace of mind suffered too much from it and I bought a nitecore charger, a charger safety bag, and some better batteries and I feel a lot better about it :D Good luck in your search! It took me weeks to finally decide on what to buy.

Innokin Itaste MVP v2 you can get it for around $50 and it is really the perfect step up. I have several more expensive mods and go back to the MVP all the time. It is great for traveling as you do not need to bring a charger or extra batteries. Really cannot say enough positive things.

This^^^^^^ can't beat the price or the awesomeness.

just got my MVP 2.0 in the mail today. so far totally pleased. pyrex aro fits on it nice without the "beauty ring". It lasted all day with no problem and it seems very solid overall. It's much easier to see the voltage than on a ego-c twist. I've seen videos that say the button is hard to press but i didn't really find it to be an issue. I payed about 45 dollars and totally feel like it was cash well spent. I'm placing this twist on the shelve for a while. :vapor:

Congrats on your new MVP 2! :)
I have two of the little devils (silver and black) really hard to beat for the money IMO.
There's a deal for $39.99 at 101vape right now.. and many of us have gotten in on that, so $45.00 is another good price.
Cheers and Enjoy! :toast:

Be sure to check out the MVP 2 Owner's thread, if you haven't already..

just wanted to pop back in and say i got the svd in the mail. this thing is amazing. menu system is fairly simple since its engrazed into the device. drop in batteries seem nicer because i kept forgetting to charge my MVP at night and using it pass through style made charging it take forever. very happy with both but the svd just seems better. i have a sid on the way for my wife. she liked the look of that more. might update this again when i get that one to say which of the 3 i like best and the pros and cons i find in each.

the MVP isnt a bad device at all. for the price its about the best thing you can get in my opinion. variable wattage is really nice and it's about the cheapest thing i found with a decent battery that offered it. i got tired of forgetting to adjust my voltage when switching from my tank to my RDA and getting a nasty taste. anything that doesn't use a standard ego charger has the bonus of using the threads less as well. it did seem a little odd puffing on what most people said looked like a walkie-talkie though. if i had to pick a down side to the SVD so far it would be that i keep hitting the wrong button and not getting any vapor

I think you made a wise choice with the MVP... From an engineering standpoint, I consider it one of the best low cost VV/VW mods on the market, along with its little brother, the Innoken iTaste VV V3...

They have a really nice output signal... Clean, straight, non modulated output dead on with what you set.

You should enjoy it! As far as charging, they use standard micro USB calbes, so any USB charger will do the trick. The kinda cooll thing about the MVP is that in a pinch it will also serve as as a USB charger... You can hook up your phone and it will charge your phone to a USB port on the bottom of the MVP. Pretty cool feature, although it will drain your battery pretty quick... Handy in an emergency situation though... Your MVP may just save your life some day :)
