After spending the past week reading up and calling my local store to see what they carried I've narrowed my first set up down to 2 choices. Either the itaste SVD or the evic.

I will be grabbing pro tank 2's and evods for my delivery system.

So SVD or EVIC?

And I know ordering online is cheaper but after 40 years on analogs i'm about to cough a lung up and couldn't stand to wait any longer. Getting home Friday off the road and heading straight to the shop so help me decide.

Hi Whiplash, welcome to the forums.

So before we recommend, why did you decide they were the choices, what criteria did you use?

If you sat me in a corner and I had to pick just one of those devices, I would pick the SVD - but under duress (only because I just don't like the look of it, not because it is a bad device)

Give us a little more to go on and we might be able to make a more informed decision to help you.

Yeah, personally, I wouldn't choose either but my needs might be different than Whiplash's.

I only have the SVD, my first mod, and I'm happy as heck with it.
Here's what I know to compare contrast:

EVIC is "techy" digital vape gear - you can connect it your your computer, and tweak your vape, setting it to do fancy stuff like start your draw at 8 watts and then drop to 7.5 for 3 seconds, and then save that as a personal setting. Stuff like that. I think I've heard it's a little delicate in some way - but many people love it.

The SVD, at least so far, seems to be a TANK. It's got that light-saber look, and it's heavy - like murder weapon heavy. Pretty simple to use - one button to fire, one for up one for down. Hold both to get a resistance reading of your head or to lock/unlock the current voltage setting.

Either way - ENJOY YOUR NEW MOD.

Well I definitely wanted VV/VW and those were the 2 models they carried that had that. Was looking at provaris but they are a bit pricey to have to set both me and the wife up with. That and as I mentioned in an earlier thread I'm a trucker and rarely get home. Ordering online would mean 2-3 more weeks of analogs and I'm about to cough a lung up now as it is. After 40 yrs I'm ready to quit NOW and so am limited to what my local store carries. Personally I'm leaning towards the svd as I was impressed by pbusardos review of it.

Well the SVD is as good as much of the others out there, so I personally would go with that. Sounds like you have done your research and are ready to do it up.

Good luck Whiplash.

I have had my eVic for a few weeks now and like it very much, especially since I got the bOd by Leo for it. It definitely is a bit pricey, but I have been enjoying the experience and it is kind of nice to get the various firmware updates. I cannot speak to the SVD, since I have no experience with it. I am sure that, ultimately, you will be happy with either of them. Sorry I could not be more help.
