So the battery is the problemI'm sure the mod itself is OK....... But you might want to check the battery.
yeah the drip tip just meltedCould have also blown the coil and burned the wick. But the mod itself is a metal pipe with a spring switch. Not much is going to hurt it. IF it got hot enough you could have melted any plastic parts, isulators and such. Could cause a short. get a Volt ohm meter, you have a mech you should already have one. test the mod for continuity. On the battery, if your worried toss it . But if you can't see any damage and it's not getting hot, and at voltage, it might be OK. I'd toss it and test and inspect my mod and atty.
My vape burn for a couple of mins. And when i use it back the firing button feels hot is it safe to use ? SMPL MOD ,VELOCITY ATTY, LG BATT(YELLO)
What do you mean by regulated ?Poppa sez: If you have to ask "is it safe to use"... then the answer will always be NO.
Perhaps a regulated device might be a better choice going forward.

How would a Regulated device be better in this case. IF the fire button got stuck for 2 hours, the mod might have just melted down? But IF the "safety" circuits work, maybe not. Result Dead mod and questionable battery.. In a mech, you just replace the battery and maybe the seals and insulators. But the mod wont be damaged.

@qwertyuiop669, also check that the 510 pin is PROTRUDING!IMHO you would not want to take any "chances" with the SMPL mod, i.e., I would make sure battery is healthy, each and every time, as well as make test atty, etc. Everything checked w/multi-meter each and every time.

Yeah the drip tip just melted and i try to build again but the firing button seems to feel hot when i pop 4-5 times straight , i dont know whats the problem if its the battery or mod or the attyIMHO you would not want to take any "chances" with the SMPL mod, i.e., I would make sure battery is healthy, each and every time, as well as make test atty, etc. Everything checked w/multi-meter each and every time.
It IS a simple mech mod but w/out any protections, meaning you get a short, or a venting battery, you are holding a pipe bomb.
IMHO, if you are using this kind of mod and have to "ask" on the forum if it is safe, then you are not ready to use this kind of device.
Your drip tip melted, and you don't "know" if the battery is safe?
If you are unable to determine these things yourself, then really you need to be vaping regulated.
Please don't take this as a slight or an insult. It's not. Just tryin' to keep ya safe.![]()
@qwertyuiop669, also check that the 510 pin is PROTRUDING!
The SMPL is a "hybrid top cap" mech mod (510 pin connects directly to the battery).
What do you mean by protruding?
