Hello friends. I've been searching for dual battery mod since morning. I wrote the names of the mods they sell from the vendors one by one, then I examined the pages of the products, went and watched videos on them, noted them one by one, but I'm about to break my head. There are very nice multi-featured mods.

I wanted it to be a kit, but everyone said to don't buy a kit instead buy mod + ato. My other criterias are; Does it stop firing after 8-10 seconds, is there a short circuit protection, is there an overcharge protection, is there an overheating protection? Another important issue; shock protection! I'm a bit of a clumsy person, I don't mess with water, but this feature is very important for me because I can drop it, it doesn't need to have a certificate, but I want it to be a solid device, I will provide maximum attention, but I want it tosurvive minor accidents, so :)

Geekvape Aegis X: It stops ignition after 8-10 seconds, it has short circuit protection, it has overcharge protection, it has overheat protection, it has shock protection. It seems to be okay, except it came out 3 years ago. The menu system is a little tricky. Sizes aren't bad. I don't know if full screen is needed. An old mod and recently people mention the screen errors.

Smok Morph-2: It stops firing after 8-10 seconds, has short circuit protection, no overcharge protection, overheat protection, I couldn't find any information about shock protection. An up-to-date device. There is TC. In addition, there is a "smart mode" style mode. Smok is not suggested in general due to sudden errors.

Aegis Touch 200: stops firing after 8-10 seconds; I couldn't find any information about short circuit protection, overcharge protection, overheat protection. It has water and shock protection. It's a beautiful, customizable device. Every mode is available, just a little big. I don't know its durability. There is someone on the forum selling their kit. It's touch kit and vulnerable and pricy :)

Aegis Legend 2: stops firing after 8-10 seconds; I couldn't find any information about short circuit protection, overcharge protection, overheat protection. It has water and shock protection. Nice device too :) Its mostly mentioned that it's not solid & durable as the company said.

Vaporesso Target 200: It stops firing after 8-10 seconds; I couldn't find any information about short circuit protection, overcharge protection, overheat protection. I couldn't find whether it has water and shock protection. Compact device but no temperature control! I couldn't find any information about the protections. I don't know why but Thelema felt better to me over Target 200.

Vapresso Gen 200: stops firing after 8-10 seconds; I couldn't find any information about short circuit protection, overcharge protection, overheat protection. I couldn't find whether it has water and shock protection. Compact device but no temperature control! I couldn't find any information about the protections. Light bur not solid!

Smok G PRIV 4: Sold as a kit plus for me. It stops ignition after 8-10 seconds, it has short circuit protection, it has overcharge protection, it has overheat protection, it has shock protection. The only problem is that it has a touch screen, it has all the modes. Smok is not suggested in general due to sudden errors.

Thelema Quest 200: It stops firing after 8-10 seconds, it has short circuit protection, it has overcharge protection, it has overheat protection, I couldn't find any information about shock protection. Very nice tool, easy to use and has all modes. Only shock and no water protection. Shock is important anyway! I got a Thelema Quest 200!

Friends, experienced users! I wrote all the mods I looked at. Now I want your help. Please write your comments, why you recommend that device, please! Because of my location those are the only mods I can buy, please take it into consideration :)

    Hi @etNemo

There are excellent reviews written by our members for the GeekVape Aegis X, Aegis Touch 200, Aegis Legend 2, Vaporesso Target 200, Gen 200 and the Lost Vape Thelema Quest 200.

Their reviews are always honest and fair. No marketing hype whatsoever. Several of those mods are reviewed by at least three of our members. Device reviews can be found here:

Personally I would stay away from any and all Smok products. Their products do not have a good reputation on ECF or on other vape forums. They have more problems with their gear than any other manufacturer. I would just stay away from Smok gear considering you already have a tough time in Turkiye.

There are quite a few people on ECF who own and love the Vaporesso Gen 200.

I do not own any of the mods you are looking at. My preference is for single battery mods. I do own four OG GeekVape Solo mods. For me, those have been excellent mods with no problems.

Just the other day I was helping a new member with a problem he was experiencing with the GeekVape Aegis X. His was a new mod but the screen died very quickly. There are a few folks on reddit who experienced similar problems with that mod.

GeekVape mods have water and shock protection. My dog, a German Shepherd, has sent my Aegis Solo's flying with her constantly wagging tail. I've dropped mine a few times in the house and outdoors. They've always worked after those instances.

GeekVape mods are tough. Here is a YouTube video where they test an Aegis 100w in dirt and water, indoor falls and throws, they then drop it five times on concrete, run over it five times with a car and finally bang on it with a hammer on concrete. The mod still worked!!!

Just click on "Watch on YouTube" to view the video.

@etNemo you can use our Search function to find the mod reviews. It'll be much quicker versus paging through the Device Reviews sub-forum and looking for those mods.

Click on Search at the top of any ECF page.

    Then click on ADVANCED.

That will take you to the following page.

Enter the name of the mod in the Keywords field. Click "Search titles only". Then click on "Order by Date". Click search and you'll easily find reviews, as well as discussion threads, for the mods you are looking at.

Listen to ShowMeTwice's advice; it's always good.

    Just to add a bit:
These days, nearly every regulated mod has short circuit, overcharge, & overheating protection, and a vape cutoff time. No worries.

If a product description doesn't say a mod is shock &/or water proof, it almost certainly isn't. Another way of putting that is IP-67 or IP-68 rated. If it says that, it's shock/water/dust-proof

The Aegis mods are so rated but the touchscreen versions still have that big ol' screen. If you're a butter-fingers... well, i am, and so stay away from touchscreen anything (even use a flip-phone).

The Gen 200 has been vey well-received but, as some reviewers made clear, is built to be very lightweight rather than very durable. Just something to keep in mind.

The Thelema is known for quality & durability (i've wanted one but don't have the $) but isn't water/shock proofed.

i don't understand why people warned you away from getting a kit. Unless you want to use a re-buildable tank exclusively, why not, if that's what you want? You did mention temperature control, though -- If you want to use that you should make sure there are TC coils available for the tank (again, unless you want to build your own). TC coils usually say stainless steel or SS + numbers (like SS316L).

Good luck. You've come to the right place for info. :)

Thank you for your detailed answer and sorry for my late answer. I've decided to get a Thelema & a MTL/RTA atomizer. In Turkiye vapers suggest rebuildable kits because they are expensive in Turkish Lira and it's completely banned in here so you can't smuggles parts for sure from the border. If you buy a kit you have to buy coils and if it's sold out, you have nothing to do but buy an another atomizer...

It was very suprising to see that most people suggested to stay away froum GV Legend 2, they said it's not durable like the original legend and it was very suprising :)

Well I have just found out the hard way that my Teslacig Wye 85 does not have a cutoff time, nor overheating protection. The battery was at 8 percent when I started noticing the heat in the pocket of my shorts. Fortunately I was using it in TC mode, so it didn’t catch fire or anything, but the atomizer was too hot to touch it when I wanted to pull it of my pocket, I had to dig deeper and grab it by its case.
I like this device because of its cheerful color and easy-to-software, and thanks to its light weight it’s also really robust, but from now on I’ll have to use another one when I go out. Too bad Arctic Fox isn’t available for this brand.
