Help me understand what happened to the old coupon code master list

I was going to post a poll to see if others hate the new list as much as I do. I figured I'd try to enquire first why it was removed. I copied it before it was taken down and only scroll through the 5 pages of the new one when any of the old codes don't work. I've yet to get any good codes that I want from the new one.

The old one was a great help to me and definitely more convenient. I passed my savings on to ECF by becoming a supporting member.

Thank you to anyone who was or is updating it. I hate to harsh on anyone who is donating their time, I'm trying to be constructive here.

BUT IMO.....The new one sucks and smells fishy.

The announcement of this new coupon list lacked any explanation. I think it's reasonable to ask what happened. Please also name names LOL....

All the old coupons were transferred to the new section.

Keeping the old post up to date was too much work, and wasn't the best solution. The new Wordpress-based simple layout arrangement for coupons has allowed us to have more coupons, split for different countries, and updated more easily. At some point, with over a thousand ecig vendors operating now, it would have been impossible to maintain the old list at all. The new arrangements solve that problem.

This was the brainchild of the site founder, Smokey Joe, so if you have any concrete issues then he would be the person to take it up with. But I can't see any better alternative, to be honest. Some info is just not optimally sited within the forum and this comes under that grouping - it's far better on some kind of CMS. Much like our basic info pages, it is laid out much better than we can do it within the forum.

One thing you need to take into account is workload. ECF is huge now, and its income does not reflect the size of the enterprise. We don't have the resources to do whatever we want no matter the cost, and it is necessary to be realistic: we do things the best way we can with the resources we have. The coupons section is a good example of an efficiency improvement. If you can think of any improvements then please let us know, by all means.

thanks for the reply, i have no clue what it takes to manage something this big, i understand you have to do what is easiest and conserve your energies managing everything.
