Okay guys, I need some experienced advice here. I am currently using a vision spinner II. My first e-cig. I had the T3D. Decided I needed better airflow and got the aerotank mega. I like a loose draw and I switch flavors pretty often. The mega is not good for switching, and the draw was still too tight for my liking, so I reemed out the holes on my T3D and it has better flow than the mega now. But with more air has brought thinner vape.
I kind of want to get into dripping and sub ohm massive clouds, but I've tried them, and I choked and thought I was drowning. Lol it's over kill for me.

I'm not quite sure how to achieve what I want, but I have a checklist:
Loose draw, doesn't take 30 sec to get a lung full.
Thick vape, enough that I can fully inhale and still blow out a substantial amount.
I don't want to use a dripper. I want a tank.

I am aware that kanger coils are make as low as .4 ohms. I have been using 1.5 and 1.8 ohm coils. I was thinking .8 or 1.0 ohm. However, I don't know much about ohms, just the lower, the bigger cloud? But idk how voltage or watts effects ohms.

I am under the impression that I am going to need much higher V/W output to run a lower ohm coil.

I'm currently looking for a VV/VW mod that will suit me well. I like compact size. Removable Battery. And I was thinking at least 15v 8-9w ceiling. But I'm not sure what power output I will need, so I'm open to suggestions

Mods I like are the innokin SVD, vamo V5, sigelei Cmax mini, sigelei 20w or 30w. Ect.

ohms are going to effect wattage for a mech but a variable device will alter the voltage to increase wattage while the resistance of the coil can remain higher. Wattage is basically whats going to give you more vapor. so on those variable devices 1 ohm or 1.5 ohm or whatever is within the limits does not matter as the function of the device is to regulate your vape to your chosen wattage. Are you looking to get into rtas or use something like what youve got now?

Not sure what rtas means... But I do like the convenience of a tank. So my idea set up would be VV/VW using a tank altered to give more air flow. So, if I want to have a inhale to fill my lungs that takes about 2x as long as a massive sub ohm mod, and puts out about 1/5 of the vapor, I don't know which coil to choose or what volt or watt levels I need to get to?

Find something quality built and go with that. At this point it's no longer upgrading, it's more like collection acquirement. :D Find the path that calls to you and see where it leads. Love all things vape, nave both mechs and high amp regulated mods. Here's my latest UpGrade:lol:

Im using a SVD with an RSST... with a bit of drilling on the cap of the RSST you can get loads of airflow... you can do some decent coils on it down to the lower limits of the SVD ( .8ish min) rewicking is easy ( no tank draining needed)

and you dont have to use mesh with the RSST , you can do a silica wick in the tank to the deck and cotton/rayon on the deck ( the silica feeds the cotton/rayon keeps it juicy)

You may want to consider a RBA tank like the one below. It has adjustable airflow, 4.5ml capacity, and if building coils isn't your thing, you can buy pre-biult ones in just about any ohm on Ebay as well. I use one on a Cloupor DNA30 mod and it's awesome. The DNA30 clones are more like the MVP but have removable batteries and adjustable wattage up to 30 watts. No exactly compact but performance wise they are hard to beat.

if you don't mind swapping batteries (a thing I do mind, my daughter was over the other day and Ed and I are vaping away with her, and she had a battery swap and "oh dang I forgot to bring a battery" moment, and luckily we have a charger and handed her one of our MVPs *lol* )

and rebuilding coils, they're not wrong, get a good quality rebuildable, for flavor and vapor, they are the best.

I would also suggest the RSST, they are easy to learn how to build on, after one or two coils you should gt the hang of it. Then any of the mods that you mentioned above should work along with the RSST. Depending on your budget I would say get a CANA DNA 30 watt because you can still use it at 10ish watts if you like but can go up to 30 if and when you decide that you want to. you can google ohms law and vaping and it will most likely bring you back to some sticky threads here on ECF. You can also google safe vaping chart and it will tell you what your optimal wattage or voltage will be best for your current ohms.

I have no problems with rebuilding. Im more than capable. My issue lies within maintainance. I don't want to drip liquid after every 3 hits. Or rebuild the coil every day, or replace the cotton or wicks every day.
Now that I have looked into RTAs/RBAs, I may go that direction, I wasn't aware they can hold like 5 ml. I only vape 2-3 ml a day.

I'll be able to find a tank on my own now. I kinda know what to look for.

For quality/price which mod do you all like? (Preferably a cylinder shape) I've heard problems from Vamo's. is a 15w max enough To run a kayfun tank?

Kayfun 3.1 es clone kit on Fasttech can be had for $23. I have one and love it. I wrap a simple 1.4 - 1.5ohm coil and it works great on any regulated device. Airy draw, plenty of flavor and vapor. I don't chase clouds though. Just like good hits with clean flavor. Maintenance and building are simple and it doesn't leak. Bang for the buck I'm not sure what else is better for an RTA.

I was just in a vape shop talking to a guy who works there. He was showing me his RTA's. he thought I would prefer a genesis style tank, said it hits more like a dripper. had a Krackin (?) he showed me, but said that it leaks if not kept upright. The kayfun and the thaifun sounds more ideal to me, but he said they have a tighter draw and don't vape quite as we'll as a genesis style RTA.

He also said that if I wanted to go high watt regulated instead of mech mod, which I think I do, that I would want at least a 30w and tried to sell me a 50w sigelei he has coming in. I thought 30w would be more than enough?

For just starting out with a RTA, I would look at, in order of price point:

- good Kayfun clone. I have no suggestions for which one, but many others here can recommend one. Less than $50
- Russian 91%. More expensive but it is fairly easy to resell or trade. $95ish, what I started with.
- Squape Reloaded. EASY to build, you can change the wick /coil without draining the tank, and it's airflow ring max setting is a 3mm hole. One of our local cloud chasers was very impressed by it. Likely more than is wise to spend at this stage, $180ish. Currently my favorite RTA.

The Kayfun is more of a flavor than cloud chasing atty, but it is one of THE easiest for beginners to build, and good build skills are usually a bigger factor than the specific atty.
