LOL yeah dealextreme is a slow fart
Could be that 510 just ain't for me or something. But the uber light draw is very frustrating.
I'm hoping the 901 will be fine. Or will I need to wait for the adjustable draw adapter. I'm thinking that's the case here, the draw I mean
i have bought a lot of 510 atties from different vendors recently as its my fav by far, don't know what it is but the quality seems to have gone way down to what they were, i got a tornado/ego (just while my slim is away getting a service) and as i said it's taken 3 days for this one to come alive, very poor show
My 510's are pretty powerful. You all must be pretty heavy vapers.
I had some protected 18650's that were tight in my GGT. I cured this with some rolled up paper and some fine sandpaper wrapped round that and sanded the inside of the tube a little (removed the button and caps obviously) and it didn't really need that much work to get them sliding freely![]()

It's referred to as fine sandpaper here, or wet-n-dry, or glass paper, OR emery paper. if people ask for 1200 grit paper, they will get what they need, it's fine.
That's why I said in "US", I realize some terms use here are for both UK and US folks. I try to look at the info next to someones "sig". It's all good, as long as you know....
Understood, but 1200grit is 1200grit wherever you happpen to be........
Glad to be of service!!! (Well thank Lisa too... she thought of it first...) In the future take off the atty cap and the extra sleeve and THEN put your battery in and then replace those parts... This will help you get it past that ridge and keep the wrap in good shape. And don't force it because there is a tight tolerance due to differences in battery sizes.
Well, this sucks. Been trying to use my 510 at 6v with as little dripping as possible, and it's still leaking like a sieve. Is there any way to correct this, aside from spending another $60 for an updated cap?
It is so easy to over fill and flood an atty at 6V. May try dripping fewer drops. I use 3 drops on a 801. How much do you drip?
3 to start, feel it taste dry/hot, add 3 more... as soon as I stop vaping a while it seems to just seep out gradually...
Try cutting down to a drop or two. The 801 is bigger so maybe 3 drops is too much for the smaller atty. Also maybe a shorter draw will help. If you aren't used to 6V it takes a little to get the hang of.![]()
