Hello there.

This is my first post here on this forum and i am asking for your help. I am a new vaper trying to quit smoking, i have been doing so for 3 years and i bought an iJust 2 kit this august ( i know some people say sub ohm is not for begginers, but i tried it on my friends atlantis and i loved it, compared to above-ohm vaping ). The problem is that i allways get like a semi-dry hit, it's not that harsh, but deffinately fealable. I have no idea of what am i doing wrong. I am thinking that the unregulated ijust 2 battery is too strong for the 0,5 and 0,3 coils ( tried both ) and so the coil kinda doesnt catch up with the soaking of the wick. This is not an e-liquid problem, i tried various pg/vg ratios and nic levels, it is kinda the same. What would fix this ? Compared to what i vape and what some of my friends vape, my experience is subpar so far, while their vape is so smooth af. I have no idea of what am i doing wrong, i am priming coils, even with crapload of ejuice, still same. I could buy a new mod, money is not an isue. Please help me guys.

There are a lot of factors. Coil diameter, coil length, size of wire, type of wire, type of wick, amount of wick, air hole alignment with coil, amount of air flow, type of atty, number of coils, amount of surface space... I could go on and write a book.

Do you have any friends that could sit with you and teach you? Find someone that knows what they are doing to show you how to do it.

We could try to point you in the right direction, mind posting a few pics so we know what you are using and how you have the coil/coils setup?

Oh, and Welcome to ECF!

It could be the coil heads. I have one, the .3 head was a little too hot for me so went with the .5 head, lots better for me but they lasted about 3-4 days, dry hits all the time. got the next 5 pack of .5 heads..first coil I put in is still in it, 3 weeks now with 0 dry hits. that's with 40/60 pg/vg. Think I'll try 30/70 next to see how that works..

If you are getting dry hits i would try a thinner juice. I use a defender 36w with a sub ohm 0.5 coil on an Arctic tank and have never had a dry hit. The coils last about 4 weeks and I'm a heavy vapor. Would recommend this setup. I've been using it for 11 weeks now and had no problems. Will upgrade to a 50w version in a couple of months.

You might also try the airflow band. As you restrict airflow, it adds more suction to the coil. I have two of these units and love them. Haven't had a dry hit yet and i'm using usually 70/30 juice, but i don't vape but a few hits at a time.
If your still having issues, you could go to a t/c mod like the Eleaf 50w t/c and get some Ni200 nickel heads for your ijust 2 tank. The t/c feature helps with dry hits emensly.
You have a good start, but remember Vaping is a never ending learning experience, and you have to just keep trying different things.
