i recently purchased a "starter kit" from a local vape shop because i was getting tired of killing my self with cigs lol. my starter kit included a 900 mah ego t battery, a ce4 clearomizer and 1 bottle of juice..totaling out to 42 dollars. at the time i knew nothing about e cigs, but now i realize that i could have ordered the same thing for 8 dollars from fasttech...

fast forward to now. ive been looking for a more powerful device with vv/vw and im leaning towards the vamo. all the reviews ive seen on it are good and its very cost effective. i hate the way the v3 looks but im thinking i might as well get the newer model.

anyways im just curious what i should use in tandem with the vamo. was thinking about getting an evod, a t4 and a protank.

any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the decision to quit smoking!

Are you sure you want to go straight to a Vamo? If you're willing to look at other options, you could get this Twist/Spinner VV kit.:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

Give you a chance to get used to some more upgraded stuff without getting too heavy into the electronics.

Welcome to the forum, wsteven321! You'll be getting tons of advice and information here, I guarantee it! I can't help you with your devices, since I'm a "vaping minimalist" with an eGO 1000mAh as my most advanced battery, lol! But I can tell you I love my protank!

Vaping is a very personal experience, and there's so much equipment and so many juices available, it may take some time until you find the setup that works for you.

Only one suggestion for you at this point, is, always have a backup. At least two batteries. A spare charger. Spare tanks. More juice. I go one step further and always have backups for my backups. Nothing lasts forever, and you don't want to be left high and dry waiting for replacements!

Happy vaping! :vapor:

Hi - if you're considering a Vamo, keep in mind that the V3 doesn't have a short size option like the V2.

Have you checked out the iTaste VV/VW 3.0 (make sure it's the 3.0)? It's new, but it's very user friendly. It has both the variable voltage and variable wattage like the Vamo. I love my 2.0 (which doesn't have VW), and I'm getting the MVP. I am happy with it. Not sure if you're looking to change your mind on batteries, but that's my suggestion! (and FastTech has announced that it will be selling them soon iTaste Version: FastTech Forums )

I would suggest the protank. They're good tanks and everyone loves them. The T4, Evod, and Protank are all kanger bottom coil tanks, and if you're looking to spend the extra money, I suggest the Protank. From FastTech, a few people have reported a few minor problems or issues with the Evods, just an FYI.

Like someone said above me, FastTech requires patience. I ordered on the 6th, and I'm still waiting. If you're wanting a faster ship, my go-to for Kanger parts is either sweet-vapes or vapingme. A lot of people like litecig. I plan on ordering from litecig soon, but I haven't used them yet, so I can't say either way. They have great prices though!

Protank out of your listed choices because of the 510 threading(and it looks better)

The Evod has ego threading and the vamo only has a 510 so the evod would need an adapter.

gully
The Vamo on Fasttech has Ego threads - mine does too, even though I bought it a while back from a B&M.

EVOD, T4, protank, Vivi-nova, I-clear will all fit on the Vamo with no adapter needed.

Wsteven321 - Weclome to the forum.

I would pull the trigger on the Vamo - and if you don't like the look of the V3, get the V2 - the update it mainly to the screen, but it just looks silly IMHO. I've heard that the gunmetal on the V2 wears off quickly and the chrome is a fingerprint magnet, so maybe you'll want to go with the SS.

You can get the Vamo with a I2 charger and 2 good quality Panasonic batteries for about $53.

Now, I have 2 spinners that I use daily, and they are a good option too, but you'll be spending about $50 for two of those from a US website, so it's completely up to you. There is a small learning curve using the Vamo, but really nothing too hard so long as you continue to be willing to make a few mistakes and learn as you go. I highly recommend the Vamo sub-forum in the APV section of the ECF for more info on chargers, batteries and other tricks and tips - there is even a downloadable manual as a sticky over there.

As for the head, pick one, buy it, use it, love it or buy another. Repeat until you find the vape you desire :D They'll all fit on the Vamo.

Finally, backups for your backups. Your ego-t could be your backup, you might want to get another 18650 battery and a further 18350 or two so you can use the Vamo in shorty mode. While you are on fasttech, throw another ego-t charger in your cart - they are less than $2.

It looks like the manufacturers figured it out! Vamos are made by a lot of different companies and when the V3 was first announced many of us were perplexed that not only would it appear so unique, but would lose what I and others thought to be a major selling point. Coolness.

the v3 does have a short size option, but im going to get 18650 batteries for it anyway. right now this looks like an amazing deal $53.63 Vamo V3 Variable Voltage E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set with OLED Screen - with Nitecore I2 US battery charger/charger cable/2*Panasonic 18650 batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

comes with 2 panasonic 18650 batteries, charger and of course the vamo v3. 52 bucks no shipping charge. from everything ive looked at this is the best bang for ur buck possible.

my main question here is what type of atomizers/cartomizers would you all recomend for it?

in response to the first post, fasttech has $15.75 EGO-CE4S Twist 3-in-1 USB Rechargeable 650mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set - black / 2.7

vv ego for 15 bucks. id reccomend that deal to any beggininer and might grab it for a backup.

part of me wants to get the vamo v2, as the ss model would look better and there isnt that crappy swirly design on it like the v3...but the v3 just seems like an upgrade...although small still an upgrade. they happen to be about the same price so i dont see any reason to order the v2...other than it looks better lol.

i know there is a lot of technical jargon going along with it, but thats what i want. the vamo seems like a good device to grow into.

as a new member of this forum i am very pleased to see the amount of response to my silly noob thread and the good information provided.

thanks for your time :)

You might want to check out the Vamo sub-forum (it's under the APV section) to read opinions about V2 vs V3 and the different finishes.

Sorry for the brief thread hijack Steven, either one would be a big upgrade to your Ego. If you go with one and don't particularly like it, you can always get another APV. That's always the problem, there is always something bigger, better or just different and desirable to buy.

As for heads for it, the protank does look good on the Vamo, but it's a little bit of an airy draw for me. I do prefer the EVOD (which you can also get on fasttech for a little over $3) They are both bottom coil devices and will provide a cooler vape, but they both wick the juice well and produce decent flavor and vapor.

I am a vivi nova fan at heart. They are a top coil design and tend to produce a warmer vape. They do sell those on fasttech, but I have read numerous threads where people have had issues with them leaking. I get my geniune Vivi's from my vapor store Vision STV Nova Tank System

You have other options too, dripping / rebuildable atomizers or carto-tanks which are very popular on the forums - but as I said before, it's really a matter of personal taste - you're probably just going to have to pick a device and try it out - then decide what you like or don't like about it and modify from there.

Great thing is, your Vamo can take them all and grow with your preferences for the different heads.

EDIT - Either I always have a lot to say or I waffle, sorry for the long post again...

They also make pyrex vivi novas now!

Also, if we're high-jacking, check out the SVD on FastTech. It's another iTaste product (I know, I know), but they have the same features as a V3. I've been debating SVD and Vamo for a while, waiting for paycheck to pull the trigger, but I asked about them here.
