While I don't know anything about the mod I did a quick look and it seems like a 60w TC mod, so the velocity would be fine. As to the wire that you need, it depends on if you want to do wattage mode with Kanthal A1 wire, or TC with titanium or ni200 wire I think? Haven't jumped into TC yet myself. For what wires to get, I would check out Steam-engine.org and play around with the coil builder. Set your wattage and ohms, etc etc.

Do research, lots of it. Look up battery safety, coil building, etc. For 60W, I think a 20w battery like the Samsung 25R and others I can't remember should work. Buy batteries from trusted vendors too as there's lots of fake. Illumination supply is the store I've bought from before and they're great, I use Sony VTC4 myself for my batteries, and a few Samsung 25Rs that I have from a while back that are also really good batteries.

PS: Since I don't know anything about the mod I suggest you do some searches on it. Figure out the minimum ohms and what it can handle in wattage, etc. Someone out there might have put some info and tips online that could help.
