HELP... MVP2(friends) vs MVP3(mine)

So like I stated in the title, my friend has a Mvp 2 w/kangertech mini pro tank2, while I just received my mvp3 with kangrtech mini pro tank2. My friend is the one that got me into vaoing and we have a problem. I've noticed that on the same wattage 9, his hits harder, more of a cigarette hit feeling. And if I put mine on 9 as well shouldn't it hit the same? No... It doesn't.. It doesn't feel like his vaper, harder on the throat like a cigarette is what I wanted since it feels like a cigarette, but even then I cranked it up to 11 watts and it still doesn't feel as strong as his. Is my MVP Defected?? Because if I go any higher it just gurgles and taste burnt.. So we tried switching tops , and still his hits harder :(... I'm so sad I spent 70$ and it's not what I'm looking for.. So I'm wondering if it could be my mvp? Or maybe my kangrtech .. Although we did switch it... Help guys :( thank you

p.s where the kangrtech and the ego adapter connect, it gets moist I can see condisation while his when you unscrew is completely dry...

Welcome!

Couple of things - first off, NO TWO MODS ARE EXACTLY ALIKE. That being said, the settings on one device aren't going to give you the exact replication on a (completely) different device. Also, no two tanks are exactly alike - especially when it comes to the coils.

Don't get so hung up on a "number". Start low (about 2V above your resistance) and nudge your way up until you find where *YOU* like the vape. It will very likely be a different setting than your friend's MVP. So, if you have a 1.8 ohm coil in your Mini PT2, set your voltage to about 3.8 (to convert to Watts, W=V^2/R would be

W = 3.8^2/1.8 = 8W

Take a few pulls to see what it's like. Then nudge up one notch. Take a few more pulls, etc. As soon as you start getting into the burnt/funky area, back it down.

That becomes *YOUR* setting on *YOUR* device.

ETA: make sure your tank connections are "snug" but not over-tight. If you're noticing some liquid down at the contact pin, you might have a tiny bit of leaking. Take a q-tip and GENTLY swab it out. If there's something blocking the contact between the tank and the battery, you're not going to get "clean" flow of electrons to heat up the coil. I've noticed that in the past on some of my own gear. Not sure why things aren't hitting well - disassemble, clean - VOILA! Stuff starts hitting better.

Good Luck!
