Help my L-rider lavatube lambo 4.0 wont turn on (just got it)

ignore the epic storm the one i got says lambo l-rider on it

Ordered just the mod cause i figured i could use my old lavatube 1.5 battery that i ordered off vaporus awhile ago. This battery is red and unlabelled. The vendor told me it will work fine with the lambo.

So i Charge up the bat till the light turns green. Test it with a volt meter to make sure its working and got 4V during the test.(thats good right?)

Put it in my new VV, screw the end cap on good and hold the power button down for 5 sec and nothing. Even tried holding it for longer and pressing the button rapidly, nothing. The led just doesn't come on and the fire button doesn't do anything.

Must be the Lavatube?

I emailed the vendor but in the meanwhile i thought id ask here incase

I got the same with mine. Tried 4 different batteries. Best I got was, just as the end cap with the spring touches the battery the screen will flash 3x. Finally realized when I shook it slightly and it rattled, that the connector must have broken loose during shipping, one wire at least. Back to the vendor it went. New one in the mail.

That's terrible.

Check and find out if your unit has a preference for flat-tops vs. nippled batteries.

Not sure about the lambo but the new LT2 from volcano has the 5 click on/off protection.

the Lambo 4.0 has 5 second instead of the 5 click.

Okay, I got my replacement and still had the same problem. I found out that on this particular model you have to have a really fast thumb. Rapidly click five times and one out of three times it will turn on. Whew!

Santa Claus brought me an L-Rider. I own a SSGGTS and they both take 18650 batteries. I thought, "cool I've arleady got a batteries and a charger that will work!" -wrong! When I tried the ones I got for my SSGGTS in my L-Rider I had the same experience. (partial conact flashing display X3) I contacted my local internet vendor ( where Santa got the L-Rider who allows local pick up) I Thought I had a DOA. It wasn't they troubleshot it and they recommended batteries that I bought. They worked perfectly in the L-Rider no issue -?

I went on line and checked out the two battery types MNKE IMR 18650 (SSGGTS) and AW IMR 18650 (L-Rider) and found the battery I tried to use that fits my SSGGTS fine was 2mm longer (68mm) than the ones I bought for the L-Rider (66mm). That 2mm variance made the difference between an L-Rider that appeared to not work and seemed defective to one that works like a champ with no issues. Haven't tried the AW IMR in the SSGGTS yet but I bet they'll work fine in it.

I'm having the same problem: light flashes 3 times when I put in the battery, but will not turn on. I ordered from China and really don't want to send it back, does anyone know of a website where I can see a diagram or video on how to repair a lavatube 4.0?

Did you try pressing the power button 5 times really fast? That is how you turn it on. It's either that or press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.

That sucks. Have you tried a different battery? Did you try pressing the button really fast more than 5 times? Like just keep pressing it as fast as possible and see what happens. If that doesn't work, I wanna say that the power button sounds faulty.

I did try different batteries, I would like to have a video or something to show me how to work on the lavatube, I have have several and am stocking up on nicotine etc., because I don't trust the government (FDA) to keep their nose out of my business.

No problem, have you gotten a chance to take it apart and look at it? Thank you, she is now 2 1/2 years old. That was when she was about 2 months old.

I don't think I will take it apart, but later; right before I think I may need it, I will find someone that works on them. I'm stocking up on all my supplies (nicotine, carts, etc.) so I will have mine after the government gets their sorry ... nose in our business.
