When I fire my rda on my tube mod it stops firing after a couple seconds. Before I finish my hit. I've had other mods before and never had this problem. Just got this new mod. I thought it could be a short maybe but a new coil didn't change anything. Could it be my battery? Im using a mxjo 18650 30 amp battery. Help please

24 gauge kenthal, 4 wraps, dual coil. Probably about the size of a 3/32 drill bit

What??? Please don't fire that up again. Get an ohm reader before you build another coil & fire it. This is NOT a safe build and I don't need an ohm reader to know that.

I did that. Its pulled out. I think it might be to low of a build. I didn't think that mattered with tube mods though

it doesn't "matter" in that the mod (if it's a mechanical) will fire ANY build you put on it. It DOES matter if you don't want to blow something up.

Mechanical mods have no safety features. You MUST know your build ohms and what your batteries can handle before using a mechanical mod.

If we are talking about a mech
Mechs are where knowing your build is MOST important there's no electronics to turn off the switch and your face sploded

What exactly is the mod you may be dropping a spring or something

According to Steam Engine that build would be under 0.2 ohms, and draw 25+ amps of current from your battery. That is beyond the maximum continuous discharge rating (CDR) of most high drain batteries. I would strongly suggest you read my Mech Mods 101 (Link in signature.) blog and follow the links it contains. If you're running a mech mod as it sounds, you are pushing it and your battery very hard, inviting a potential battery failure.

EDIT: Also you should never use a mech mod, especially with a RBA, without having a good ohm meter. All in the blog.

PLEASE READ THIS AND BE SURE TO SEE THE PICS !! You should never fire any coil on a mech mod without first measuring the resistance (ohm rating). Never pull more amps than the battery has to offer (so you must know the max continuous amp rating). You MUST buy an Ohm reader or digital multimeter. You must know how to use an Ohm's Law calculator (they are online).
