Hello World,

Gonna be getting into rda's(or rsa to be more specific, s for squonk) soon and one question that I would need answered before I fire up any orders on good old aliex is can I put the coils into the rda, screw them in etc. while the rda is screwed onto the mod(talking about regulated ones)?

If the answer is yes, then can the mod be on? Should it be off? Is it really 100% not enough for it just to be off and I have to take the battery out too? Or what?

If the answer is no, no matter what, then what are those little things called that people on youtube screw their rda's into?

Thank you.

What you have seen are probably just RDA stands. Useful if you own more than one RDA.

I build on my mods (regulated only) all the time as it's very convenient. I have been known to occasionally hit the fire button by accident, usually while pulling fresh Rayon through the coils...

Just too lazy to turn the mod off or lock it.
Couple weeks ago I was wicking here at work and forgot to turn the Detonator off. That fire button reminded me at the first turn.:D

My favorite is getting the thumbnail against one edge of the coil to pull the Rayon through and accidentally hit the button with the other hand that is holding tension on the wick.

Keeps me humble.

I have burned a nail or two over the years, irks me more than burning my skin.

You’re not alone. My last was screwing a mesh RDA onto the Reload squonker which has a hair trigger fire button. Ended up with a nice waffle grid burn on my finger…and to make matters worse, it was just freshly wicked but not juiced up yet! Love the smell of burnt flesh and cotton in the morning…..smells like, hurt!

A few years ago I was cleaning/dry burning a coil and blowing on it to cool it down. My arm slipped and I ended up burning my lip...OUCH, followed by many, many choice words at very LOUD levels. That hurt for some time. Silly me!!! Not a single burn since (shouldn't have said that...Murphy's Law).

Exactly what I use except mine is labeled Teika. I wonder how many ohm testers like this are out there just with different names on them. Seen quite a few.

They can probably be traced back to one Chinese factory. I read an article once that talked about how lots of product goes out the back door during third shift in Chinese factories. The employees have some side businesses going on. Those items hit the market under untraceable business names and show up later on various sites. They are particularly hot on high end sports shoes and equipment.
