Personally I would go with either: the squonk pad in the door, or pming Rob about a plunger door. Who knows? You could have the first metal reo with a plunger door!
( and I'll be number two :) )

Check out this finger stylus.

Would be awesome to find one with a hard tip instead of soft on it to sqounk with.Rob could sell these things and just enough room on them to have Reo written on them :)

Here is my quick fix:
Supplies: Duct tape, mechanical pencil erasers X2, finger pick (available at any music store), exacto knife
IMG_0153.jpg
Bend the pick part to a 45 degree angle to the band that goes around your finger, then bend again to make it a comfortable height. Cut two pieces of eraser to height of bent pick.

Cut a strip of duct tape the height of the erasers, place the erasers side by side on sticky side of tape.
IMG_0155.jpg
Place the bent part of the pick on top of the erasers and tape, tape erasers to pick.

Place on finger, adjust to fit comfortably.

I don't wear acrylic nails (obvious from pics), but I did years ago and could relate.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

I didn't know MacGyver was a Reonaut !
I watched Apollo 13 the other night and this reminded me of the scene with the engineers trying to get the carbon dioxide filters to work :). Nice fix!

Years of raising 3 sons (all grown now) by myself with no support from their father was the best school in the world for coming up with ways to make something work because I could not afford to do otherwise. Additionally, my grandfather was a tool maker by trade, he bought, sold, and repaired antique clocks as a hobby, as a child I sat on his work bench and "helped" him, as I got older (10+ years old) he actually started teaching me how to do things. He never ceased to amaze me. When he was in his early 70's the arthritis in his hands made it hard for him to grab the little things on the end of the strings for the window blinds, his solution? He took the lids from empty Scope mouthwash bottles, drilled a hole in the top and replaced the tiny pulls with the bottle caps that he could manage. I am in my 50's, he has been gone for more than 20 years and I still miss him terribly.
