Saturday late at night, I was at my desk and on my computer with a beer at one side and my Reo Grande on the other. I had gone thru and made my selection for a new black ripple vvReo Grand. I was in paypal and just about to put in my password when my wife of 26 years comes running in playing with the dogs (Yep, Yep, Yep). She looks over my shoulder and says, your going to get another one , you could get a tablet for that kind of money. I looked at my wife and thank she can't understand, we both quiet smoking 4 years ago. She went cold turkey and I went with e-cig. This one is variable volt I wine. But happy wife happy life so I hit cancel.

I have an obsolete drawer where I keep mods that the button went out or just plain were not worth messing with any more. I have batteries that didn't work with the mods I'm using now and old atomizers that are obsolete to me (since the rba)too.

The next morning as I check my e-mail and see one from Reo's congratulating me on my purchase. I had to sent and e-mail back to Rob saying my wife caught me so I had to cancel my order.
I can see where my wife is coming from, but she just does not understand. Maybe next month.

Congratulations on being married 26 years. You strike me as having a lot of patience, with some of the credit going to your wifey and the dogs. It sounds like you're looking for an upgrade to your mechanical Reo Grand.

May I suggest you skip the Variable Voltage Reo Grand model in lieu of a Variable Voltage Reo Woodvil model. It may take a lot of time or perseverance, stalking classys or rubbing elbows with reonauts, but you will never experience any buyers' remorse.

I have 3 woodys now and haven't put them down. My Variable Voltage Reo Grand is now a paperweight. Even contemplating selling, trading, or donating (called pay-it-forward on ECF) it.

Yes, VVW's are THAT good.

You should read the thread before replying, he already bought the VV. ;)

Personally wouldn't trade a VV for a VV Woodvil, I don't like them. :)

Hopefully you'll never be afflicted with a raging case of rheumatoid arthritis, (you're still a puppy, you've got all kinds of aches and pains ahead of you), but if you do you'll quickly come to appreciate the warm, soft and gentle feel of a wood mod. You may also find that during a particularly intense flare-up squonking becomes so painful that the only alternative is some sort of tank system until the flare-up subsides.

It is very difficult to imagine not being able to accomplish a simple task from the perspective of a healthy body.

(Good thing they make pills for some afflictions... gives you a reason to keep living.)

Blix, my norwegian brother from another mother, how could I be mad at you? I am mad at myself for making a rookie mistake by not reading the entire thread before responding to the OP.

Besides, the most important point we should all leave this thread with is,

HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE

Ah good, just had to make sure. :)

I see you Jack. I hope I don't get hit too hard when I get older, being a guitarist.

That's why my goal is to stay married. My wife can squonk for me, perhaps even press the button and hold it to my lips. My children (grown by then) can wrap nano coils around a single strand of Nextel filament and take care of my RBAs.

Time you went out and separated another from the herd there, Jack. :)

The solution of course is to buy her a tablet or a new phone and yourself whatever you want! Works for me!

I just point HRH to the banner at the bottom - 'look how much i saved on cigs dear - and i haven't spent it ALL on new gear - no no - i saved some for you!'

Best of all, make her think it was HER idea - then you're onto a sure-fire winner.
