Try and stay strong. You can get through this. I am struggling too, even though a supposed veteran. I had 10 days free, but foolishly fell into that awful temptation/addiction and had an analog yesterday morning. Regret it more than I can say (type) after almost 10 days free of analogs. But I am back fighting the good fight again. You can do this!

What nic level are you vaping at? Do you have anything stronger than what you normally vape to get through this craving?

Maybe its because the mustache on your avatar "demands" a cigarette lol

On the other hand, what nic level are you vaping? Also what "flavor"?
I can vape 12mg all day no problem as long as the liquid has at least a base of tobacco flavor (like 50%-80%), if i try the fruit/candy/whatever flavors i want a cig bad even after like an hour. Sucks because it would be awesome to vape something that tastes a little better than tobacco, but unless i have that tobacco base i want to smoke.

Well when I first started I got 24mg and it seemed a little too powerful so I got VG juice to make it 18mg (this was the first two weeks) for some reason now I want an analog so I actually just vaped the 24mg without diluting it and still nothing :/ should I get 36mg!?!? Seems a lot. Before vaping I was smoking a pack a day of camel filters if that helps.
Thanks for the responses guys, keep them coming. It's tough :(

I know what you're going through. I went through the same thing at 2 weeks and then 2 months (I'm at 3 months, now). I didn't get it either until I did some serious extensive research and tapped every brain at work and university. Bottom line is that there are other addictive substances in cigarettes than nicotine.. and some are Brand related. Camels, I understand, are particularly vicious... up there with Doral and Kool. This is what you do:

1. Increase nicotine intake a few times a day (just a few hits at a time). Stay at your regular strength in between. Be Careful with this. I had to vape 36 mg.. just a few hits only 2 or 3 times a day.
2. Increase your caffeine intake (this stimulant increases the effectiveness of the nicotine). The chemicals in a cigarette augment the nicotine, you see.
3. Find an e-juice that is close to Camel.. such as Camel at myfreedomsmokes.com. You won't find the exact substitute, but this is close enough.
4. Ride it out. When the worst is over, do not use the higher nicotine. At about 2 months, you may need to do this again.

Good luck to you and let us know how you are doing.

So eventually I can just enjoy vaping and never think of analogs? :) granted I still want the nic fix lol I sound like and addict!

We are all addicts! lol! Actually, nicotine is not the big bad wolf the media makes it out to be. There are many benefits to nicotine. It's the other 3,999 chemicals in cigarettes that give nicotine a bad name.

And, to answer your question, a resounding, "Yes!" This will pass. You may get waves of it from time to time, particularly at 2-months, 4-months, 9-months, .. and a few other markers. I'm just over 3 months, now. My backup brand of cigarette was Virginia Slims 120s (menthol).. I got a sample pack of Menthols from myfreedomsmokes.com, and oddly enough I tried the Slims and there it was.. close enough to what I used to smoke. It took me 3 months and Sixty juices later to find it. Now, I absolutely enjoy vaping other flavors as long as I have the Slims when I need it.

What you are going through, I've heard it from a lot of people and experienced it myself. So, what you are feeling is not unusual. It's withdrawals from other addictive substances in your Brand.. as well as those substances which augment the effectiveness of the nicotine. They Will pass.

Stay with it, Bobby. Jersey guys are tough. You're going through a very common stage of vaping. Cigarettes really take a strong hold on us. You can do it, man.

MyFreedomSmokes Camel was a good suggestion in a previous post. It will not give you the experience of smoking a cigarette, but the juice is a good reproduction of the flavor.

I've been vaping exclusively for almost seven months. I had smoked for 45 years. I had unexplained cravings at 3.5 months. That was the only time I had cravings since I started vaping. I just chain vaped the cravings away using lower nic than my normal. Seems odd that the lower nic would work, but it did. I vaped the lower nic for about 2.5 hours non-stop. I didn't give in to the craving.

One thing though, at a couple of weeks in, if you give in to the craving, it's not the end of the world. That Newport WILL taste like crap & it'll possibly teach you that stinkies are evil. That might be all you need to get you off them forever. Someone on this board told me that if you set yourself up to be perfect, you'll probably fail. Strive to be good & you'll succeed. Count the stinkies you don't smoke as victories. If you falter once in a while, just try to do better.

Dude, this is probably really bad advice but I had a couple moments like what you're describing. My wife literally sat me down and said vape till it goes away. It worked (but I did get a nic-headache). Another thing that really works for me (little over 2 months in and I still occasionally get the "urge") get a drip atty. To me it's too much of a pain in the ... for all my vaping (I like DCT tanks for all day stuff), but hits hard and fast when I need to blast through a moment. I like an IkenVape 510/1.5ohm on 3.7v. A couple of 2-3 drip runs and I'm good to go. It's also great for tasting new juices without filling a tank or carto.

Good luck Bro!

Keep at it! 33 years of 1.5 pack/day Marlboros and I can tell you this stuff works. I slipped once (at my favorite watering hole...) and after having felt good about going without smokes for a week felt really defeated. After I put it out, put a fresh carto on my batt and haven't missed a beat since.

One reason it doesn't feel like your getting nic is because vapor simply doesn't get in your system the same way smoke does (smoke hits the brain in like 15 seconds...). That doesn't mean you're not getting it. Because of work, or being home and hiding from kids, or being out at places where I had to go outside, etc I used to binge smoke 2-3 real quick every so often and then go back to what ever I was doing. With vaping, I keep a constant level (couple hits every few minutes or what ever) and seem to do much better.

First I must say this is the best forum site ever, I have only belonged to two forum sites previously (not about e cigs but other stuff) and it seemed ANYTHING I'd write people would get mad and say there's already a thread for that and be mad at me but no one does that here its wonderful! I did read on a thread her though that e cigs are just placebo and you can't get nicotine from vaping. That made me sad, I hope it's not true.... Also someone said after they vaped a cinnamon flavor it screwed everything up and they could never vape again and their doctor said their lungs were messed up, I just bought a cinnamon flavor and am scared to use it and I loveee cinnamon! You guys prob think I am crazy lol but I'm new to this and am a huge researcher on everything under the sun no matter what it is. I appreciate everyone being so nice and sincere here!
Thanks,
Bobby :)
