Few things I need to say before the big ol' question:

Uncle sent me. Thanks Uncle.

I make mention of other brands of e-cigs in this post. It's kinda necessary to explain why we're dissatisfied and what we're looking for. No offense intended... apologies in advance...

Ready? It's a long read...

Can I pick your collective brains?

My adult step-daughter is having issues with vaping. She wants something small, light, and automatic. In otherwords, a cigalike. She doesn't care if the batteries are short-lived... we'll get multiples. However, she wants to reuse the carts and have maybe have replaceable coils.

Why? She works with her hands a lot and likes to park the vape in the corner of her mouth (small and light) and carry on. No buttons to push (automatic).

What we have for her now are 2 sets of Blu, and 2 starter kits from Vaporfi. The Blu is very hit or miss when it comes to charging in the case and she complains that the battery does not last. The Vaporfi fires when it's held upside down (not good for tucking in your pocket). The Vaporfi has refillable carts or micro clearos, but they're all disposable.

Believe me when I say I'd love to have her switch to an eGo or mod, but she thinks they're huge and unwieldy.

Is there a way to accomplish this goal?

Thanks!

I prefer the standard Volt cartos for this sort of thing BUT I work here so of course I am going to praise our products. I will just plant the seed about using them and how you can refill them a few times before they are no longer good and let the others say what they think. :) If you have any questions though I am here. :)

Of course you do... and thats why I posted the question here.

Here's why I am liking volt. Correct me if I am wrong on any of these...

1. You have a community on ECF.

2. You have a range of cigalike sizes.

3. You offer clearos for ecigs, as,well as cartos.

4. Three words: mega charging case.

Hi Shawn,

The Pro Starter kit ( Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette ) , with the Mega Charging case option appears to be what you are looking for... Oddly, the standard size Blank Cartomizers don't seem to be an option at the moment (XLs are, though). If she wants to park the e-cig in her mouth while she works, she probably would want the Comfort Tips ( Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette ), as the cartos are metal, and the weight of the e-cig, tiny as it is, is a bit heavy for holding with just the lips (lots of potential for mouth wrinkles/cramping). The Mini-Clearos ( Volt Mini Clearomizers ) are awesome, but I find they are happier on manual batts, because letting off the button a moment before finishing the inhale minimizes condensation in the drip-tip, which can often lead to gurgling. These work great with the Spinners also, in case she eventually decides to upgrade for off-work vaping (I did).

By the by, removable clips from mechanical pencils fit on the Volties, for upright pocket securing.

Happy Friday!

I think we want to steer clear of the cartos (aside from those in the kit) as I think it's hard to gauge the level of juice and easier to scorch or dry hit, and nearly impossible to clean out for the addition of a new flavor.

Are the soft tips compatible with the clearos? Those sound nice.

I understand the issues with the condensation... I get that pretty severely with my Kamry K1000 epipe... that extra-long aluminum tip condenses something fierce. That said, I'll take a bit of condensation over a dry hit or mixed flavors any day.

Actually, if she's using the standard carto with the 65mm autos, 8-10 drops of juice added whenever the batt needs charging (after the initial 30 drop fill) should prevent dry hits. The 78mm batts last 12-15 drops. These are so cheap that I just use different cartos for different flavors. On the Spinners, I can usually tell when the carto wants more juice by the quality of the vape (before a dry hit).

Yanno, the clearo tips are small enough on the cartos that they slide out really easily, so I never tried putting a Comfort Tip on a clearo.... until now. It's a REALLY tight fit to get it set all the way down to the center tube thingy, but it works... Surprised me! Just don't try to put it in when the clearo is on a batt, or she might overtighten the connection and mess up the post.

Happy Friday!

Well my first ecig was the Blue...
Never a fan.
Then a few others.
I wasn't happy until I got the Volt Pro Starter kit with the 78mm automatic batteries and the Mega Charger.
The Volt batteries have more mAh - longer life - in a smaller size than any of the competitors.
And the cartos are bottom coil rather than vertical coil which seem to make them last longer, less burning.
The mini clearos are ok. I don't care for the top coil though. To hot a vape for me.
I have recently upgraded to other equipment that I prefer, but it is larger.
I still keep, use my Volt 78mm automatic batteries and cartomizers. I prefer the XL carts as they require filling less often.

Talked it over with my better half and with the young lady wanting them and pulled the rather inexpensive trigger on the top of the line kit, 5 micro clearos, 5 blanks, 5 soft tips, 5 color coding ends... just about 1 of everything, it felt like...

Uncle led me here, and this forum, PBusardo and SteelJan sealed the deal.

Ok... so, I'm wondering if I need to file stalking charges against Smokeless Image... there's no way they weren't standing outside my window as we were discussing what to order because I ordered on Saturday, and got the shipment today. TODAY, people. That's less than 1 business day shipping... from Ohio to Arkansas.

Wow.

Now about the product and the cost.

Wow. Suffice it to say that my stepdaughter is very pleased, and she's hard to please...

Thanks!
