Help Needed on Grape Recipe

On a new recipe I tried, it came out dark as night and thin(really thin) like water.

I was shooting for a 60/40 PG/VG mix, 12MG of nic, and 5ML volume(This was a test batch). I know I could add more VG to thicken it up, but would I need to increase the flavor percentages also? The part I don't understand is why so thin?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I think that's the same grape flavoring I have. It's horrible. So much artificial coloring it's crazy. One tiny drop of that in anything will turn it dark purple. What exactly is the point of putting in all that artificial coloring? who needs it? It doesn't affect the flavor. All it does is stain everything it touches. there must be a better grape flavoring out there.

I agree, I was dripping the test batch and it leaked out the air hole down my hand and turned it purple.

TFA Grape candy is pretty tasty, kinda like a grape jolly rancher

your numbers are perfect for your target of 12mg @ 60/40..
might give it a try @ 50/50 (drop your PG to 1ml and increase VG to 2ml)

Where did you source the nic and what brand of PG/VG?

Also the LA Naturals Grape (concord type) and the TFA Grape Candy (jolly type) are the only ones worth getting.

'Never tried the LA, but we've tried the TFA Grape Candy (we likes) - but wethinks TFAs Grape juice has the winning edge for our taste buddies

I got my nic and PG/VG from MyFreedomSmokes.com. May try to mix some 60/40 with no flavor and see if its still watery.

Seems they have changed there nic supplier, need to start checking supplier forums before ordering.

It's much more concentrated than the LA, so you use considerably less, plus it has no food coloring.

Their flavors are great. I wish I had discovered them earlier- I would have saved a lot of money. They are my "go to" now for most flavors.
