Hello Everyone, I just started using these, Ive had a couple actual cigs a couple times, because Im still not comfortable with the Hilton Mist I got. It doesnt seem to feel "real" enough and the battery runs out in a few hours and takes a couple hours to charge. I feel the Hilton doesnt have enough smoke to it, you need to puff on it too strong and long to get a good hit off it. If anyone could suggest another system that looks like a real cig that has a longer battery life and heavier smoke It would help. I want to stop smoking analogs. I have been told that the KGO is a great one, battery life etc,but its rather bulky and almost looks like a small cigar. I like the look of the Wicked e-cigs, I like some of the black ones I see, but its so confusing . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It is too late/early for me to go deep into your question, I am sure someone else out there can help with that but I will say that generally the bigger the battery the longer it will last, if you are determined to use a cigarette looking e-cig you should also invest in a PCC (portable charging case), this way you can charge a battery while you use the other one when you are out and about. Also if you are only using one battery.....get at least 2 :)

None of the little cig-sized units will deliver the performance, flexibility, and battery life of the larger units. The KGO is probably the "gold standard" for basic vaping hardware. Most folks buy the 1100 mah style but I use 650 mah KGOs as they are very compact and easy to carry around. Each battery lasts me a half day and I just swap them at lunch time. I have bigger and more powerful PVs I use at home, but the little KGO for out & about is tough to beat.

Many folks start their journey really believing they must have a small cig-sized device - I'd bet 90% upgrade to something with a little more punch within the first month. If you absolutely must have a cig-sized unit, the "gold standard" in this category is the Volt...

I got over the need for a cig-sized vaporizer within two weeks. I wouldn't suggest spending too much money on a typical pen-style starting kit. I don't mean that you should buy cheaply made products, only that you should keep in mind that you'll likely want to upgrade pretty quick. Smokeless Image (Volt) might be a good place to start, since their products are high quality and they offer larger batteries and clearomizers if you want to go bigger.

But there are a lot of other good options out there. I made the mistake of buying one of the first kits I saw (Blu ecigs), without doing enough research. The fact that you're here and asking for advice is a GREAT start. The people here are very helpful and I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction.

Thank you all so much for all the advise, someone talked me into one of the Hilton Mist setups, its fine, was not too expensive, but like I said, had issues with the puffing and battery life. Seems everyone really loves the KGO, the EGO seem to have some negative reviews re: leaking etc, but I like the look better. I will probably go with the KGO and keep the hilton to shock the public. Half the reason I started with the e-cigs is to see the reaction when I "light up" on campus, or in front of those people who love to Hack wildly when they see you from yards away or "those looks".

Again, thanx for all the advise. Im looking into the KGO, I see 2 different starter kits, one with a dual coil from a site called Sweet Vapes and the other from E-cigarettes-USA which doesnt mention anything about coils. Both are about same price but is there any a reason for one or the others. Any advise on sellers or I keep hearing about coupons?

Hi and welcome to ECF. The Kgo is a true 3.7 volt PV whereas the eGo performs at a lower voltage. Battery info: 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge. The eGo is a great PV as long as you don't get the eGo Tank kit. As you've noticed lots of leaking with the eGo tank. You could always buy the eGo C and then decide on the delivery system- cartos, carto+tank, clearomizer, etc. This is the kit I bought for a convert and he LOVES it- note it does NOT come with the eGo tank but with clearomizers. As stated you could always buy the eGo C and the clearomizers separately. The kit below is only an example of the setup I'm suggesting seeing as size is of concern to you- 2 X 1100 mah batteries
eGo Vision Stardust & Extreme Vision Custom Kit 1100mAh
Good Luck.

Welcome to the ECF family. Do some research here on the forum, find a brick and mortar store to go get the feel and look of the different sizes. All members started where you did. I want to stop smoking... what is next? Not only is the PV important, the juice is too! The best thing you have done so far is stop analogs, the second after that was find this forum. There are many out there that did the first, but have not found the second and struggle.

Usually I'm in agreement with you but in this case the OP only smokes 1 pack every 3 days.

Rule of Thumb: generally, the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

Get the Kgo with manual batteries or deal with the limitations of the one you have.

Edit: Reread OP post and some days when stressed he smokes 1 PAD so I'm in agreement with the Kgo.

Thanx Vapoor Eyes er, Im about to order the KGO from vaporworks, but want to make sure about the USB connector being able to be used with any charger, I have one from the IPhone and the one that came with the HIltons. Im assuming yes as a charger is a charger? Unless the wall unit make a voltage difference? I dont want to fry my KGO batts.

Thanks, I will now place my order for the KGO, and I believe I have 30 days to return the Hilton, so I can continue using it till the KGO gets here. Thank you all very much, you guys saved me money and made me feel more secure about converting to non-dangerous vaping. I think from all the advise my vaping experience will be more satisfying.

G'morning and congrats!

One thing I didn't see mentioned is HOW to vape as it's not like smoking a cig. If you take a quick hard puff like most smokers, you won't get much. PV's work best if you take a slow steady pull for 4-10 seconds, a french inhale works too. ;)

There's a fine beginners tutorial link on the top left of the forum; the "InfoZone" that has great information. :)
