Hey peeps...

I ordered two Clear E2 V4 510 mods from Clouds of Vapor about two weeks ago. I am now trying to try one of them out, and have NO IDEA how to fill it!

It looks like this....

Clearomizer.jpg

I've searched YouTube, these threads, but I can't seem to find where it explains how to fill these!

I have removed the first plug... it is white, with a hole in the center. I've then removed the 2nd small, white ring, again with a hole in the center.

However, the atty is at the top, and dripping juice from the top is NOT working!

I don't have a syringe, so I hope that it doesn't require one to fill these!

If anyone can explain how you're supposed to fill one of these, or link me to a video, I'd really appreciate it!

Also, all of my drip tips are too small to fit! Well, they will fit, but they also will come out if the cartomizer is even tipped slightly... they are NOT staying in there! Any suggestions? Was this supposed to come with a drip tip?

Sorry... I've been dripping for several months, and have no idea how these work!

Thanks in advance!

Shel

Tip the tube to the side and drip along the wall to fill. If the ceramic cup is in the way, gently push it to one side for more room, en move it back before replacing the filler rings.
They do not come with drip tips but the 510 tips usually fit perfect. If you use a drip tip you need to leave the filler seal that goes in over the ceramic cup in, after you fill it.
Hope this helps.

hi shel. i belive the second plug you removed if you look at it it should have 2 small holes on the side. thats for the sryinge so you can fill thats why they recomend you either buy the sryinge or the 60ml needle bottle. and im not sure but i belive that becuase of the size of the sryinge mod that the 510 drip tips dont fit I.E. the first plug. hope this helps and if im wrong thats okay because some will defenitly know how to help you

I removed the first plug... it is white, and about 1/8" or 1/16" deep. It does have depth. I then removed a second plug, which is pretty flat. No holes in the 2nd plug I removed.

I now look into the tube, from the top, and I can see ANOTHER plug, with two holes, one on each side, but they are really pinholes... tiny! Not sure if this is the ceramic cup you're refering to.

Tried to drip juice into the tube, from the top, dripping directly over one of the holes with the tube tilted at an angle, and the juice simply sat there... mocking me!

I'm using PG juice, and it's not particularly thick.

Am I supposed to remove the THIRD plug? The one with two holes in it, one on each side? This rests directly over the atty, I believe.

I didn't see anywhere where they recommended puchasing a syringe with this mod, or I would have purchased one.

The second plug I removed is more like a gasket, in that, while it's white, it is FLAT, not three demensional like the first plug.

There is another ring, still in the tube, which DOES have two holes. Am I supposed to remove that third plug before filling?

Thanks!

Yes, remove the third plug. You'll notice then that there is room to drip the juice along the side. When you replace it, you'll notice e small slits on the bottom, line these up with the slits where the wick goes down. Let me know...

Storm
Got it!

Now... I've replaced the very bottom plastic peice after filling juice in the tube.

Do I now reinstall the thin plastic ring that went over the one I reinstalled? How about the white deeper piece, with the hole in it? This is the one that's at the very end of the tube, when you first get it. Do I reinstall this if I'm not going to use a drip tip?

Thanks! Getting closer!!!

between here and there
Shel,
A 20 guage syinge needle works perfect and is so much easier. Trying to use those little plasic syringes are a joke. At least to me. The whole is so small on them, I have a hard time believing anyone can get even water throught it. Anyway that is what I use. Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks!

Just trying these out for the first time (I tried carto's in the past, and didn't like 'em), and so far (all of about five minutes!) I really like it!

Couple of questions, that I guess will soon be answered...
Does the wick dry out, giving a burned taste, after a few drags? If so, do I tip the carto to get juice to the atty, or does the string in the carto feed sufficient juice up to the atty without having to tip it, so that I get a good drag every time?

How long does a full carto last? Should be a while... it holds quite a bit of juice!

Is it going to leak over time?

(I'm not actually ASKING these questions, just mentioning them, figuring in a few hours I'll know the answer to all/most of them)

Where can I get a syringe? Do pharmacy's carry them? It would certainly be easier to refill the cartomizer with a syringe! Thanks for the tip on syringe size.

What voltage is your battery and what ohm Is the cart? This makes a difference with the burnt taste. My 2 ml cart lasts me most of the day but it depends on how much you vape.

Storm
First, THANK YOU! Really appreciate your help!

I've now got it working... so far, I LOVE IT!

I'm using a ProVari, so I can change the voltage :) to whatever I'd like!

The ohms is 2.6, per the ProVari.

Haven't gotten a burnt taste yet, but it's only been a few minutes!

The one thing I do wish, is that I could use one of my drip tips on this, but it's not a big deal. They just feel nicer in my mouth, but again, this clear carto will allow me to vap in a car, and not have to worry about dripping and driving! (I always wait till I'm at a stop, but it's a hassle)

Do you find you need to tip the carto to feed juice to the atty, or does the wick seem to feed it fast enough? Do you use one of these, or a slightly different cartomizer?

Again, thanks for your help!

Good, a VV will allow you to adjust down if you get the burnt taste. Most of my 510 drip tips work, just remove the flat washer and the white mouth piece, the insert the drip tip. I do roll mine at times, not sure if it's really necessary but I do it anyway.
Yes, I use the same exact tube mod everyday, it's all I've used for months. I've tried the CE2's out of the box but this seems to be so much better. I'm so spoiled with these.

So far, I really like it! Seems to be working great!

My drip tips don't fit. The tube seems to be slightly larger then a standard Joye 510 atty, as all of my tips are way too loose.

Not a big issue, thanks for all of your assistance!

By the way, I assume once the atty goes, the mod is no longer good? How long have they lasted you?

Nope, you can replace the burnt CE2 and it's good as new. There's a lot of good info in this read also.

Once again, thanks for all of your help! It's working great. My *only* complaint is, I can't use my existing drip tips. At times, if I take a long drag, which I tend to do, the tube DOES get hot! Also, it just feels nicer to have a pyrex, or stainless steel tip, curved, in my mouth then a plastic tube! Otherwise, esp. for when leaving the house, this really is fantastic!

I'm too late. I was going to tell you that clouds has a vid that towards the end Bruce shows how to fill an E2 V4 which is the same way.

5cardstud
I'd love to see the video! I did return to CoV's site, and checked out their videos on their "Video" link, but couldn't find one with Bruce, discussing how to fill an E2 V4... if you could furnish a link, it would be greatly appreciated! Maybe there are tips that I didn't think of regarding refilling.

Shel,
Sorry for disapearing, just got out of a meeting. Sending a pm.

wv... no prob, but I haven't received a PM. If you did send one, could you resend?

Thanks to everyone! Really appreciate all of the assistance! :2cool:
