Carto tanks.. was really into them when I first started vaping. I have 50+ of them sitting in my supplies box and once I mastered the use of the ProTank I stopped using them and I stopped using them. Once I got my Protank it made life so much easier, then the ProTank 2, got a few of those and they're in the retired bin now I think. Now I have a Russian 91%. But the protanks will be backup for sure or perhaps I'll get a kayfun Lite+ and the Russian will be backup. Not sure what the future will hold. That new Aspire sure looks interesting and it's 22mm.

Miamimom- whats a carto tank ? Like an iclear ? And i have ventured into into rebuildables - only for about a month or so. My builds have gotten worst though. I use a bottom feed rebuiladable on my reo vv. - works well but i need to buy an ohm meter so i can get in that green vaping zone sweet spot i see on those charts wattage charts. Whats a rebuildable dripping atomizer. Im curious cause i was thinking of getting just a basic mechanical mod as a back up to my reo (use to own 20 kits but thru all those garbage things away). Does it drip onto the atomizer from the top down ? Which one wld you recommend ? And basicslly whats difference between rba and rda dripping one ?

What do you plan on doing? Are you going to stick with the reo and look for something to use on that or are you looking for a new APV? Do you want to get into rebuildables at all?

You doing fine. I love my reo vv with an rba on it that i got a month ago. Prior to that i was using regular reo grande with cartomizers for about 3 years. It served me well as it ALWAYS worked and the cartomizers were ok and the built in 6ml juice feeding system i just luved. The only con was the taste wasnt so great. Did not compare to screwing on a regular 510 or 306 atomizer and dripping couple drops on atty n vaping.

Anyways. Thioe are the only mods/cigs i own. I currently doing some research for new device mainly out of curiosity. Durability of the reos are amazing but yes i am looking for new device and alot of them dont have juice feeders so i was wondering how these carto tanks work/clearomizers--- it all confusing to me- ill do some more research on it . I can deal with 3ml of juice with being Being able to refill it easily. Looking at just a basic mechanicsl mod or a well made variable wattage device (out of curiosity) . And since most of devices dont have a built in feeding system like the reo i was curious as to all these tanks n clearomizers work etc n which was a good one.

Ive been away from forums so long i dont know what apv even means. Lol I was around when it was just pv. Personal vaporizer i think ? But the "a" part now, ya lost me.

APV- Advanced personal vaporizer. - A mod. :D

How much do you want to spend? You can get a pretty nice VV/VW tube or box mod for $30-$50 or something like a Provari for around $160 on up.

I like and use my Reo quite a bit, but I also like tube mods as well. I'm not into rebuilding, so with the tube mod, I use cartomizer/tanks. But many people love clearomizers (vivi nova, protanks, etc.) or rebuildable atomizer systems.

A cartotank is different from an iClear. A cartotank uses a cartomizer with punched holes in the metal shaft to allow juice from the tank to enter the carto while vaping. Each time you take a puff from the cartomizer more juice enters it from the tank. A cartomizer has a large wad of polyfill as the wick material which completely surrounds the heating coil in the carto.

A clearomizer uses string wicks which draw e-liquid to the heating coil.

RBA's are rebuildable atomizers which utilize a tank. RDA's use no tank; juice is dripped onto a wick. With both of these attachments, the user makes their own wicks and wraps their own coils.
