Help!!! I basically got ripped off by a company. Anyway, I am tired of using the little ego batteries. They hold a crappy charge and sometimes they break when I twist them and not very hard. I had an IMOTION but it was horrible and the guy would not give me a refund. Anyway, I was curious what you thought was the best mod out there. I use a Kanger Pro tank 2 with the highest replacement coils. The VV/VW still confuses me because I cannot for the life of me understand the need for vols and wattage together and why not one or the other. I am looking for a mod that will last me a while so I don't have to keep buying them. I actually have 18650 batteries I bought for the IMOTION but never used but am not opposed to other batteries. I am basically looking for a little bit stronger of a hit with long life on the battery. Thanks for your help. Mark

Greetings, welcome to the forum.

VV and VW are just two different ways of doing the same thing, controlling the amount of power reaching your atomizer. Some people prefer one, some people prefer the other, personally I think that there's not a decisive difference between the two. My favourite mod is VV only, and that's fine. I've got a couple mechanical mods that I use with a Kick, which is VW only, and that's fine too.

If you already have batteries and a charger, there are any number of decent mods you could consider. What kind of price range are you looking at?

Gig Em' aunt! Thanks.

Glenn, I do not like the ones that look like the box. My price range is open. Of course I don't want to spend $200 but I know that some will be expensive. I have heard good things about the Provari, Nemesis and Sigeli. I wish that using the 18650 battery did not make the mods so long, but I am not sure how long the 18350 batteries last. I don't chain vap but I find myself taking hits here and there so they add up. Thanks for your help. This forum is great. I have learned a lot. Next thing I might do is learn to make my own coils since I go through one almost every week to 10 days! Thanks again. Mark

I love my Sigelei V3 and have two of them. Can't be beat for $40. The 18650s last all day but do indeed make it a bit bulky. The 18350s I reserve for "on the road" but I always carry a spare or two. I think the perfect middle ground would be 18500s but I don't own one. I love that one mod can be adjusted to use any of the above mentioned sizes.

Thanks for all the info. Can I ask what the "kick" is and also, someone mentioned on another post about having air holes to help the flow or something. I am not sure if that is something you can use with a Protank. I have 2 Protanks for different flavors and love the fact that they are bottom fed so I don't plan on getting rid of them. I will check out the Sigelei and VAMO V5 reviews. I will also check out the 18500 batteries to see how long they are and how long they hold a charge. Thanks again. Mark

You can get all of those things a thousand different ways. (And you're going to get as many suggestions :D ). Also:

How big of a profile do you want this thing to have? Will you be carrying it out and about everywhere you go or will you use something else for that? For me, battery management is important and you want that to be as hassle-free as possible. (Of course if you sit at home 24/7 then that's not an issue).

I haven't had the bad luck with eGo's you seem to have. I carry two 1100mah... both with pass-through so I can use them in the car or at a desk while charging. Also have a little 400mah when I need to be sneaky. Everything fits in a compact and mobile case with juice and spare tank. Ego's are simple devices for simple minds like mine.

I tend to control my "throat hit" and overall vape on a fixed voltage device with lower resistance coils , higher PG mixture and higher nicotine levels in the juice.

I also use a Zmax Mini on occasion. But I only use that when lounging at home wearing a cardigan and silk bloomers cause it's so purdy.
