I started vaping using a Pro Smoke, and I just got the Joye ego-C. When I started with Pro I never felt like I felt it, no cough no throat hit. Well the same ejuice in this ego and everytime I vape its like I'm overdosing. I cough like I did when I first started analogs. Am I taking too long of drags, too fast, hitting the battery to long. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong and it kinda sucks.

I coughed like crazy when I switched from 510 cartridge and atomizer to cartomizer, and again when I tried the big smoktech dual coil cartomizers, and at first with the stardust on my new ego battery, and it seems to have settled out. The secret for me was to take slightly shorter drags, don't hold the button down as long, and use more liquid. The way you pull when trying to assuage a smoking habit is different than the way you pull when trying to taste a vape too, so check if it is worse when you are niccing out.

What nicotine level are you using? Higher nic levels make me cough unless I'm careful.

Also....if you've quit smoking cigarettes, remember that coughing is a very common symptom of quitting smoking! It's your body's attempt to start ridding itself of crap in your lungs. Or something. I've quit smoking elebenty-billion times and coughed every time.

With the Pro Smoke I ended up going to 27mg on ejuice, so I first tried that today and about coughed up a lung, went down to 18 and still dying. I will try to slow down and with the draw and order some even lower nic level and see that helps. I been smoking about three to five analogs a day, still trying to quit. I was hoping with this new set-up I wouldn't feel the need for the 3 to 5. Right now I'm a little scared of the Joye. So I haven't been coughing at all. Since I got it today at noon, for the last four hours that's pretty much all I've been doing. Yes I ordered the starter kit. It's easier for me to get one, I know I could go cheaper, but I wanted something that I didn't have to think about. Oh by the way can someone tell me if it's normal that you can hear it kick on when you touch the battery button. Just a nervous person, and I never heard that with the other one, so I would like to know

When I got my first ego c I had issues with the little carts and wicking...usually a result of the end cap not getting pierced properly and the flap of material laying down over the wick. Ended up with a bunch of painful dry hits until I figured it out. When I use the setup now, I make sure the wick is soaked pretty good before I even assemble the darn thing. Dry hits burn worse to me than any cowboy killer I ever smoked.
