I seem to have the worst luck with batteries. I think I'm a magnet for batteries with personality issues. :D

Anyway, I have a battery here that I got last week. I had some trouble with it at first, but it did seem to work somewhat better when I broke it in a bit. In the last few days, I've noticed that it's burning my carts up. It has a very hard draw. VERY hard. This means I have to draw on it rather hard for over 5 seconds to get any kind of flavor and throat hit. As a result, my cartos are getting way too hot too fast. I mean, literally two hits and my cartos are almost too hot to touch. I'm assuming that it needs more airflow in order for the draw to be a bit lighter? Is there something I can do here at home to give it more air flow? Thanks! :)

PS. Yes, I know I can talk to Steve or Mark, but I'm starting to feel a bit ridiculous with all my battery problems and I'd like to see if I can do something on my end to fix the problem with this one.

Is there a cross-slot on the carto? There needs to be a cross-slot, notch or whatever you want to call it on either the battery or the carto for it to work.

Yes, there is a cross slot on the carto. To give you an idea of how different this battery performs, it gets my cartos hotter than my passthrough does and it does it quicker. It's like I have to draw on it with more pressure and much longer in order to get any vapor, TH, or flavor, if that makes sense? I wonder if I'm going to just have to switch over to all manual, even though I prefer not having to press a button. None of my autos perform the same. One of my autos is so perfect that I swear I'm going to cry when it goes. LOL! The other three all perform slightly differently.

The only visual difference between this one that I'm having problems with and my other batts is that this one has no open notches on the "ash" end. All my other autos and the manual I just got have those notches.

boxhead, I did try the suction without a carto. lol. It's a very hard draw. For me, anyway.

Well, I *think* I found the problem. I've been staring at this battery until my eyes are crossed. It turns out that there are FOUR air holes --not two like all my other batts have. Two were open and two were so clogged with some sort of plastic-like material that I didn't even see them until I held it under a bright light. I took my tool that I use for refilling cartos and unclogged them. I can definitely tell that the airflow is better. Thanks for all the help everyone! I can't tell you how invaluable this forum is. I am truly lucky to have discovered you all and the VK. :)

And a special mention just for JenJen. JenJen, you go out of your way each and every day on this forum to help inept newbies such as myself ( ;) ), and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. You truly are an asset to this forum and to V4L. :)
