Xtra Long Manual Battery doesn't Compare to Passthru

I don't think any manual batts have grooves. Just the autos. That's why you have to make sure that the cartos have the grooves when using the manual batts. Some of the older carts from other vendors don't have the grooves. That is why I asked you to try several cartos to see if that was the problem. No worries though, Steve is gonna fix you up and you are going to LOVE the extra long!

Jen,

Lambolover was talking about a groove in the "center ring" of the battery or cart, not around the outer ring. Is that what you're talking about too?

None of my cartomizers from V4L (2 weeks old) have a groove in the center ring.

They should. All of mine do. It is not very noticible, but they look just like the auto battery. Shallow grooves right near where the .... plug goes.

Nope. All of the center rings on my V4L cartomizers are as smooth as a baby' ..... Looks like they won't/wouldn't work with the grooveless batteries.

Hmmm wonder if that is part of the problem some are having with the cartos and or batteries? My cartos look just like the battery on the autos, with that shallow wedge cut down the middle where the hole is. Poor Steve is having fits with china with all the mistakes they have been making lately and is looking for other factories.

Monkey Arms - do the cartos you are using have that wedge cut?

I just got my kit with auto batteries on Friday.

No grooves. So far, no issues.

Yeah, Steve has my sympathy. I am also a China importer, but unlike Steve, my business requires that I import by the carton (shipping carton, semi truck size) load. If we get something bad, it's a "whole buncha bad".

I checked my batteries out today. I have 2 autos with grooves, 1 auto without, & the manual without. The Grooves make a HUGE difference. The autos even out performs the manual, I might add, I think that confirms the manual is gimpy...
From what I've checked, all my carts have grooves. If they have done away with the grooves, that would be a Sad thing!

Woah.. I stand corrected. I have a total of 5 cartomizers in front of me, two have absolutely no grooves at all, the other three DO have grooves. Strange.

Received my long battery this morning and a passthru. I tried both and the long battery is near equal to the passthru. I really like the long battery. Got some kant carts and I like them too. I order the chocolate and not into it much. Got the mint which I have always loved. I just wished the cowboy carts would get in stock. I need some more.....

I also have an auto w/o the grooves. Even with a grooved cart, the pull is still pretty heavy. I have to take drags from it like I did with analogs, ie. hard pull into mouth then swallow. If I try to take slow light drags to the lungs, I'll pass out bc it's so hard to draw. This batt is a replacement for another auto (also w/o grooves) that died after 2 days of moderate use. I appreciate Steve sending me this replacement, but I'm just not having any luck with it. =( I don't want to ask STeve for more, bc he's been more than generous with everything. Maybe I'll try drilling a bigger hole by the threads to see if that'll help.
