Don't forget that there are other elements (chemicals) that we are not getting when vaping that we got when smoking. For someone who did great for a month and is now having trouble, I have to wonder if that could be part of the problem. I did great for 3 months and then for a few days to a week, I was having terrible cravings and vaping didn't do it for me. I roughed it out and made it over that hump and didn't smoke a cig. The same thing happened to my sister after 1 month of vaping and it subsided in a few days for her, she made it over that as well. Just a thought, may not be anything, but it was an issue for both of us.

You're right there. I went on Chantix for a month to completely eliminate all cravings, then went off that and started e-cigs, so I don't notice the difference.

Worked like a charm :thumb:

Ok, everyone. I have decided on the shorty kit with the Prem. Menthol Lover's 24mg cartos with an extra pk of SSM 36mg. I hope this does the trick for him.

And with my order I qualified for a free pk of cartos, so I got the Prem. Caramel Frapp for me. :)

Sounds like a great plan! I like the shorty's too because they they have the same weight as a cig.

(he's been straying back to cigs 3-4 times a day).

So what's the problem? E-cigs are a smoking alternative...not a smoking cessation product. (I posted that for anyone from the FDA reading this).

Fact is....although many drop the cigs on day one, some take longer (like weeks and months)....and some really aren't looking to quit entirely at any rate. The war is won with some small victories. As long as improvement is happening like 3 or 4 cigs instead of 2 or 3 packs....it's all good. Be patient and don't stress the details.

Have to 100% agree with this. We all have cut down our smoking and that is GREAT! I still need the quick nic fix of 1 in the morning. We all put enough guilt on ourselves, I have been trying to just let that go.

That's what I've been telling myself this week. I started off strong three weeks ago and have even had a few stretches where it was 2-3 days between having an analog. This week has been a rough one and I've burned up a pack over the last day and a half. It's hard remembering that a month ago I had a pack and a half a day habit and that even when I "slip" I'm doing much, much better than I was 30 days ago. Fall down, get up again... repeat as needed. :)

Your doing great! The great thing about e-cigs is now when it comes to real cigs, we can take them or leave them whenever we want.

Exactly how I feel about it. Society is down on smokers enough as it is. I'm not gonna be stressing over it. I started Vaping 2 weeks ago today and from Day 1 I have found myself smoking 3-5 cigs/day as compared to 25-30/day prior to this. Not bad for putting in absolutely NO effort. At some point I will probably make a push for total abstinence from cigs but at this point I'm just happy as hell that it's working as well as it is anyway!

Good choice... As others have said, that Smilin Special Menthol is fantastic. You'd be hard-pressed to find somebody who DOESN'T like it.

Every cigarette not smoked is a victory.

It's so funny the way different people seem to process nicotine strength differently. I was SUCH a heavy chain smoker, for SO long, and wasn't even bent on quitting immediately. 18 took care of me completely first day, zero craving since, effortless. My daughter found 'em dizzying and will order lower. It seems really random re what people were smoking before. Another mystery.
