I just pulled my 901 out of the washer. It was in the first soap cycle and had fallen out the pocket it was in to the bottom of the soapy basin. I guess it was in there 7-8 minutes. When I pulled it out the led on the battery was lit like I was dragging on it. Then it blinked like when it's running low and back and forth again. I imediately took it apart and dried everything and am looking at it now in front of me on a paper towel.

Any advice? I'm afraid to put it back together just yet.

Oooh - tough luck on that one...hope you have backup gear!

First - clean out the atty - you don't want to vape any soapy residue...the atty should survive a trip in the washer - as I clean my by full immersion all the time and don't hurt them...

I'd let the battery sit for a day or 2, connection side down, and hope the thing drains out OK....that might be a wash (pun intended).

Good luck with this one - if you don't have spare gear - try checking the classifieds in this forum to pick up some used stuff..

and if the battery is done u got a connector to make a battery box mod...atty will be fine when u rinse well with some hot water and dry it then reprime with some e-juice...
my first e-cig was a 201 and i used a passport neckstrap, spilled some coffee into it both batterys POPed and the atty works on a mod:). the 901`s are pretty robust, they will take alot, i use a wet q-tip on battery connectors to klean, so maybe u`ll be ok just do what Vicks vap-oh-yeah stated and if not save it for a box or mag mod...

Thought I'd give a one week later update on the results of my unintentional 'what happens when you put your 901 in the washer' experiment: As expected, the atomizer came out of it unscathed and the cartridge just needed a cleaning and new coffee filter. As to the battery, well, that required a delicate touch - I let it dry out a couple days and put it in the charger. It charged up, but kept blinking sporadically and soon lost it's charge. At that point I just left it off to the side of my sink and noticed it would blink when I used the hair dryer or moved things around it. Last night I recharged it again and it is working like a champ (knock on wood. This 901 is almost two months old now and works as good or better than it did when I bought it new.... Gotta love it :)
