AW IMR are considered safe because the are made from "Safe Chemistery".

ie: The Materirals that make up the Battery do not want to Explode in the event of a Major Failure.

AW IMR have a Lower Internal Resistance so they work more Efficiently in a VVPV when the Battery to Output Voltage Differential is High. Or at least that is what I am told.

They also fit Perfectly in a Mini-Lavatube. I know because I have one and a couple of other types of 18350 Batteries.

So yes, an AW IMR 18350 would be a Good Choice for the Mini-Lavatube.
