Help Ruined 510 threading on top cap. Mortar mod

Need help my buddy ruined his threades on his Mortar mod , specifically the 510. He left his mod in this pocket with his trident attached to the top cap, that somehow got lose and bent the threading. Is there anyway to retread or fix it to 510?

Your going to need a 7mm x .5 taps and dies if the threads on both are messed up.

I think only the mortar threads or messed up, his trident still would screw onto my gus mod, my aga-t did not screw into his mortar tho

Also I thought that using a die or tap would make the threads or hole bigger? Sorry for the lack of terminology.

Not if said tap and die is the exact same size as the original threading The size I gave you is the international standard size for 510 connectors Just make sure you get it started straight and you will be good to go.

No problem at all It should be fairly simply as brass is pretty soft, but there is always the off chance that it doesn't work. Good luck
