HELP!!!! Sign this petition to save The Tongue!

As of May 15th animated signatures are no longer allowed. At THIS point, animated avatars are "still being considered" and a decision has not been reached.

If we all hold hands in a show of impressive solidarity we just MIGHT be able to save the tongue before it's too late!

So in a proactive move, I'd like to urge all interested people to do everything within your power to ensure this nightmare doesn't become real!

There's some brilliant minds on ECF so maybe they can come up with some good ideas on what can be done? The "Save The TongueⒷ" neckties and bandanas have not yet arrived from the screen-printers so until then maybe an unanimated signature making people aware of the impending doom would help?

I'm open to any/all suggestions on how to raise awareness of this possible travesty! IMHO, this community's strength is based on it's diversity of members. If The TongueⒷ is banned, what's next? Maybe "Serenity" and "LOTR" avatars are next??? (not that I'd have any problem with that!). It IS in all of our best interests to preemptively stop the any rule change that discriminates against those with abnormally gifted tongues!!!

Mike, you got my attention, when you said LOTR avatars are next. You have my full support to "save the tongue". That's how it starts, first they take away the tongue, then the LOTR's, then all avatars. Next thing you know they will be taking away our names, and we won't know who we are talking to. This oppression has to be stopped !!!! 8-o
